Ladies and gentlemen...we are published!!
After four years of development, the first book of the Storm of Fury trilogy has been released! You can order it here on Inkshares or find it on Amazon! If you pre-ordered, you should already have your ebooks, and your physical copies have shipped out to you.
I want to thank everyone who supported me from the beginning of my campaign and endured the long road to publication. I can’t believe it’s finally here! I’ll have another update for you in a few weeks, detailing my next steps and how you can help bring Storm of Fury to new readers. In the meantime, thank you so much for everything, and enjoy the novel!
Greetings Inkshares Readers!
2017 is beginning to draw to a close, and so I thought I’d take a chance to reflect on Space Cat and the year it has had.
Space Cat began as a NaNoWriMo project and turned into a full draft novel. This year has been the year of editing, and it’s been moving at an erratic pace to be brutally honest with myself! The first half I got a LOT of editing done, but since my big house move, I’ve not given myself the time to fully edit another draft. Life seems to have gotten in the way...
As it stands, Space Cat is currently at 64,839 words, amounting to 116 A4 pages, with the first 5,000 words available to preview on Inkshares. The preview dips it’s toe into the story, with so much more happening later on that I’m dying to show you all but a) it’s not ready, and b) I want to share Space Cat into a the world in a proper format, be that e-book or physical copy! And that’s my next great challange. Where to put Space Cat?
Do I eventually try and take Space Cat to an agent or publisher? Do I go the full self publish route? Or do I give Inkshares funding a go? The problem with trying to get your novel somewhere is the uncertainty, and the unknown, and that, quite possibly, is one of the scariest parts of this journey. However, I will, soon I hope, find the courage to choose a director for Space Cat and begin a new journey with it.
Let’s see what 2018 brings!!
Today marks 3 months since publication. 3 Months, Faoii! And look at how far our army has come in that time! But we’re not done yet. More soldiers have been seeking our banner as they hear of our tale, and I expect that to continue as word spreads. But I can’t keep up the recruitment on my own. I need YOUR help to make every one of those numbers up above to rise a little higher. I’ll be putting various links at the bottom of this missive. Follow our banner and support our cause where it suits you, but make sure you don’t put down your sword yet. This fight is far from over. People WILL know us.
Let’s see how much greater we’ll be a month from now. See you then.
