Jamie Lynn liked an update for The Knightmares

Hello my Knightmares!

For all those who have purchased over the last week, thank you! We sit at 63 more orders left until we reach Quill publishing, with a timer hammering away every second. Now, I’d love to say this last 63 is going to be a cakewalk, but I have bled and bled my immediate contacts for orders, and I just don’t see any more coming easy. I’ve started getting hate mail...seriously. I need you, my dear fans/readers/friends/family to help.

"How can I help?" you ask.

You can help by getting two friends, just two friends to buy a copy (It doesn’t matter if they buy an e-book for just $10). If you can get two friends to buy a copy, I’ll throw in a free t-shirt that proclaims your AWESOMENESS to the world for helping THE KNIGHTMARES get published.

Pretty rad, huh?

So let’s break this down:

  • If you order a softcover book you get a FREE bookmark.
  • If you order 3 or more books, you get a FREE poster of the new cover art design I showed off a little last week.
  • If you order a book and get two friends to order, you get a FREE tshirt.

Seriously you guys, this is some good stuff.

BOOKS TO NOTICE

Every week I try to post 3 books that have caught my eye. Sometimes these could be already published Inkshares books, or books that just deserve more attention than they are getting. There’s a lot of talent out there.

Tantalus Depths by Evan Graham - The Diamelen’s survey mission to Tantalus 13 takes an unexpected turn when the entire planet turns out to be an ancient artificial structure. What lies in the heart of Tantalus? And why is the crew’s AI, SCARAB, willing to kill to keep its secret?

I’ve been impressed from the beginning about Evan’s fully realized world. His updates are constantly bringing new content to his fan-base, highlighting the technology and the characters.

Seven Days Dead - by "Johnsoncm" - The beginning of a zombie outbreak in the Middle East. Can people from different cultures, who have been at war with each other for centuries, overcome their differences in order to survive?

Setting can be everything to a book. We’ve seen zombies on TV and in movies in various ways, but zombies in the Middle East brings with it an entirely new set of obstacles. This is definitely something to check out for all fans of the zombie genre.

Devil’s Call  by J. Danielle Dorn - Pregnant witch exacts revenge on the cowards who shot her man: a Western.

I’ve always enjoyed genre blends, and this one stands out. Not many people place fantastical/horror elements into a Western setting. I think this one stands out. The project has 15 days left, and a little ways to go, so please jump on it now while you can!

Thanks again to everyone who has stood with me every step of the way on this journey.

    Hello fellow Knightmares!

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!

Over the last few days I had a good influx of sales, and I wanted to not only thank all of those who bought a copy of THE KNIGHTMARES, but also those who helped push traffic towards the project.

AND, on top of all that we just hit 60 sales. Like I promised, for every thirty sales I will post a new chapter. So please check out Chapter 5: Hall of Nightmares that was just posted on the inkshares page.

Other updates of note: I have been meeting with the new cover artist and things are progressing. It’s very tough to try and find some kind of notable imagery that ties the story down into something iconic. We think we’ve found such a scene. If you were a fan of Mary GrandPré who did the original Harry Potter series covers, then you’ll love this.

And lastly, I am putting the finishing touches on theknightmares.com, which will be the hub for all things about the book. Check it out when you get a chance, but make sure to come back in a few days when it’s done.

    Thanks again to everyone!

      Hey Everybody!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! But before you go, I have a treat for you!

If you buy two or more, you get a free poster of the brand new cover art coming soon!

If you refer more traffic and sales to my inkshares page, you will receive a framed poster of that cover artwork signed by me and the artist!

Thanks again to everyone who has supported me! You won’t be disappointed.

Hello to all you Knightmarish fans out there.

Firstly, thank you to those people who have stepped up and ordered a copy. I wholeheartedly appreciate it.

Still, I realize I am far behind the pace I need to be in order to hit my goal of 250. Everything changes at 250. A listing on Amazon. An ISBN number. My skills as a marketer will be going into a state of quantum super explosion once that happens. Until then I am at the mercy of crowd-sourcing and trying to find new (and increasingly difficult) ways to increase sales.

One such way will be kicking off shortly, as my dear friend and amazingly talented artist, Rachel Perciphone, will be starting to put her amazing touch to some new cover art! Check out her Facebook fan page, and I’m sure you’ll be impressed as much as I am over her work. Rachel and I have been discussing this for quite some time now, and she is the ONLY person who has read most of the book in its completion and has given me nothing but high praise, and that’s big coming from someone who is such a huge fan of current authors, movies and TV shows that have also inspired me.

So, keep your eyes peeled for that as updates will be flying fast and furious (and please, no Tokyo Drift. Ever.).

Now onto my next announcement. As I hope ALL of you have read my introduction to THE KNIGHTMARES, there’s a little thing called SCALES I’d like to discuss.

Way before there was a "Marvel Cinematic Universe" and the like, I had an idea that all my written works were somehow connected, and not always in obvious ways. Like the balancing plates on a weighing scale, all good and evil must be held in perfect equilibrium.

What does this all mean, you might ask? (Please ask, because otherwise I just wasted twenty minutes of my time writing all this hornswoggle (Yes, I just used hornswoggle (Yes, I also just used a parenthesis within a parenthesis.).).) It means that I am three-quarters through the first draft of the next story in the SCALES anthology, called VEXED.

Neat name, huh? It’s got a V and an X. It’s going to blow the box-office away when the movie gets made.

VEXED has been a very personal story for me to write, which is why it has taken me so long to write it. Trust me, it’ll be worth it, and when the time comes I will start posting it online somewhere. Maybe here, IF WE CAN SELL MORE BOOKS.

I smell a rally coming on...

          Hey Gang!

I am one pre-order away from releasing the next chapter of THE KNIGHTMARES!

In fact, I’m feeling generous. Not only will I release the next chapter, but I’ll also release the interstitial chapter as well that dives further into the mythology.

Please, if you’re watching and have yet to order, please do. I’m woefully behind on pre-orders and I know that this story will not only entertain you, but it will actually make you chuckle a dozen or so times.

So please, help a guy out to achieve his dream.

          Thanks!

            Hello, my fellow Knightmares!

I’ve decided that for every 30 pre-orders, I will release a new chapter (for FREE) here on Inkshares. Any kind of incentive I can give to pre-order, I will.

Please continue to share and if you have yet to pre-order, please do!

              Hey gang...

So I’ve hit twelve pre-orders. Twelve!? We can do better than that. Just remember, if I don’t hit 250 none of us see this book in print (or on our fancy back-lit screens).

Please help spread the word, and please, if you haven’t purchased, grab a copy.

If we hit 250, I’ll make sure everyone gets a super-awesome poster copy of the cover art my super-awesome friend is putting together (she illustrates comic book covers for a living). Both things combined create a super-awesome(squared) deal, right?

Are we cool now? Did sweetening the deal lubricate your appetite for some Knightmares fun?

              Let’s go get ’em, team!

                Hey Guys!

I just posted the character trailer as promised.

Balancing the day job with the passion I have for this project has been as difficult as one could imagine, but I rallied at the end.

As any artist I am my biggest critic, but I hope you enjoy it and that the trailer brings even more clarity to my overall vision.

In the next day or two I plan to post additional content. Stay tuned for that!

                Enjoy!
