It is all about personal asks @Charles Moore  this is a crowdfunding platform, you have to go out and ask people to donate to your project, in this case your project is a book. You have to switch your pitch from "buy my book" to "support me" that is how you get your friends, family and acquaintances to pre-order. This is about you so when you hear from your cousin "I don’t really read" (who does these days) you can answer "I’m not asking you to read the book, I am asking you to help me become a published author" You need a special kind of personality to do this successfully and you need to be willing to get over your fear or whatever it is that stops you from asking people, following up with people and asking again. Read Tal’s advice, her run a great campaign.

My last name is Heinz and I’m #57. I think the programmers behind this did their job exactly right.

Very cool new feature @Thad Woodman! I’m wondering what metrics are tracked for rankings. Care to shed any light on your Inkshares algorithmic machinations? :)

For those wondering WTF I’m talking about, if you click someone’s profile (like this one) you will see a little orange  box stating their influential reader rank. (I am #22 Most Influential Reader) pretty interesting!

I’ll be curious as to how this impacts the Inkshares site AND am wondering what other new features Thad has in store for us!
