Hey everyone!

I have news! News and plans!

SOME PEOPLE SAID NICE THINGS ABOUT ME

Paul Inman and JF Dubeau featured me and my book on Episode 4 of the WriteBrain Podcast!!! I turned all red listening to it. They focus on my book starting at 16:20, but you should listen to the rest of it, too!

The episode also features the book Monkey Business by Landon Crutcher (which is now IN PRODUCTION, congrats, Landon!).

A BOOK TO SUPPORT RIGHT NOW, TODAY

The Children of the Forest
by Byron Gillan is a really great, complex fantasy book that needs 105 more pre-orders in the next 12 days to get published!

Faced with the ecological collapse of her world, a princess must embark on a perilous journey to save her kingdom from ruin. The novel is the first of a two-part series, exploring the tenuous balance of man and nature and its inevitable conflicts.

The writing is really solid, and the protagonist is a fierce warrior princess that rides a giant wolf, ok? Ok.

Help this book get published!

FINALLY, THERE WILL BE NEWS TOMORROW

But I can't tell you anything today.

(It's about the Review-a-Thon!!!)

So... until tomorrow!

Hey folks! Great uptick in orders this week. I'm working on a promo video for you all, let me know if you have any questions you want answered about the book, my process, or my holiday plans (I suggest the former subjects, as my plans involve lots of cookies and parade viewings...)
Hope to hear from you soon!

Important Update: SADIE MCGRADY, LEADING LADY

Sadie fans, I need your help to make sure this book gets published and into the hands of today’s girls – tomorrow’s leaders! We have 54 days left to sell 520 more copies of “Sadie McGrady, Leading Lady” and kickstart the publishing process. That sounds like a lot of books, but Sadie has 244 followers on Inkshares. If most of you find 1-2 friends to become Readers (1 book order) or Super Readers (3 book order) we’ll be sure to reach the goal and get published. Books are only $10 during the crowd funding process. Once published, Inkshares will increase the price.

Please take a few minutes right now (before the holiday rush) to e-mail a few friends and ask them to invest in this book. Share our Inkshares link and let them know that “Sadie McGrady, Leading Lady” will be available via Amazon, major bookstores and independent bookstores by early-summer 2016 as our country’s general election is heating up – a great time to talk to kids about what it’s like to be a candidate and what it’s like to be President of the United States.

New on our Inkshares page – you can now read the full manuscript. Many of the photographs are still being processed, but you can get a good idea for the feel of the book from the images on our page. We’ll share more photos as soon as we can! They're really fantastic (no surprise, since they were captured by the talented Corey Williams).

We need your help to get to 1,000 so thanks in advance and stay tuned for updates!

Hi Amanda!  I haven't gotten a chance to sit down with Owl yet.  I haven't had a chance to sit down with anything recently between work and Fun and Games.  By when are you looking for feedback?

          Hello,

I'm just going to place this here...

This is pretty much final.  There may be some other small tweaks, but here you go.

And thank you.  It wouldn't be what it is without you...

This is later in the week than I had intended.  The off season at my day job has just recently ended, which has resulted in me having to return to my 4am wake ups to drive an hour to work and the loss of reliability in my update schedule.  I apologize for that.  This has been a busy week in other ways for me as well.

First off, I was on the Vitamin Geek podcast Monday, with the show being made available for your listening pleasure as of today.  So if you've always wanted to know just what an overly nervous, timid voiced, 240 pound, fire-haired/bearded man sounds like as he's flubbing every pitch/synopsis/selling point he had carefully crafted and even written down before hand, then check out the episode on iTunes, Stitcher, or at their site.  Seriously though, while my social awkwardness was heavily on display, I had a lot of fun being on their show and you should definitely check it out.  We talked a bit about my book, literature in general, and ended with a round table on our top 3 fantasy movie picks.  Also be sure to check out some (or all) of their past episodes here.  Between their Vitamin Geek and House or Horrors podcasts they cover all things geek really.

Also, I was happy to see that I received a review on the project page (from Rob Gokee), and especially happy that it let me know that I pulled off with the scene in question exactly what I was going for.  I would love for more of you to post reviews and/or comments, since that is the best indicator to me of where I'm succeeding or failing in my efforts.

Beyond that, with the return to work I've not had much chance to work on anything beyond Book 3 edits and continuing to pitch this first book.  This has also made me realize that I'm most likely not going to be able to continue making 2 updates a week as I had been doing previously.  From now on I will be posting an update on either Thursday, Friday, or Saturday of every week.  Feel free to chime in on which day of the week you would prefer.  Myself, I'm leaning towards Friday around noonish.

I don't really have much more to update you on.  The campaign is continuing on, but isn't making quite the daily progress I would like to have.  After last week's addition of the e-book only purchase option I now have until 1/22 to reach goal, so please help me with that in anyway you can, whether by recommending, sharing, or preordering.

Thanks again for all of the time and support that you've already given me, and enjoy the rest of your week as well as the impending Thanksgiving.
