G. Derek Adams liked an update for Moonlight and the Magician

Hello loyal followers!

Long time no see, eh? I'm sorry for the radio (internet?) silence as of late! My life has become a bit of a whirlwind. I gave birth to my son in late September and not only had to recover from major abdominal surgery, but suffered from an unfortunate bout of illness as well. Thankfully now I have fully recovered. Nowadays, in addition to taking care of my new baby I have been on sudden and unexpected job hunt as well. To use a tired metaphor, when it rains, it pours - and I've certainly suffered a few downpours lately... But no matter! Things are looking up and I'm excited to get back to work editing the final draft of the book and getting on with the Inkshares crew again.

Soon I hope to show off some new art related to the novel! Look forward to it!

Sincerely,

Erin

Oh no! Someone let me talk about my CRAFT.

    https://epicfantasywriter.wordpress.com/2015/11/13/world-builders-g-derek-adams/

I'm a guest today on World Builders, a site chronicling the world building process for tons of authors. I'm there at the largesse of fellow Inkshares author John Robin - a far more generous, thoughtful and diligent author than I. He also smells nice.

Also! He has his own book - BLOOD DAWN that is still funding on the site. From the looks of things his novel has even more dragons than mine does, so fans of the draconic and fans of good writing take note and check out his campaign page below. At certain backer levels you can even become a dragon in the book FOR REAL, SON.

I know some of you are probably still sitting on Inkshares credit - you should seriously consider investing it in his project - actually HOLY SHIT I HAVEn't BACKED HIS BOOK THIS IS SO EMBARASSING. GOING TO DO THAT RIGHT...NOW!

      G. Derek Adams liked an update for It's All Fun and Games

      Hi Everyone!

Long time no chat!  Things have been chugging away and this is a good time to let you know what has happened since my last message.

      1) The production team has been assembled.  If you visit the project page and scroll down beneath the supporters you will see who is responsible for what, as well as an overall timeline.  We are evidently 15% through the process, whatever that means.

      2) I had a conference call with my design pro, and they're putting together drafts for the cover.  A special shout out to Amanda Orneck, whose cover carried me through the funding process.  Check out her Inkshares author page for info about her own novels (one of which is already for sale on Amazon.com for the low low price of only $.99!).

      3) We have a release date (sorta)!  You'll now see on the project page that It's All Fun and Games "publishes July 2016."  I'm not going to lie - I had no idea how much time it takes to professionally produce a novel.  Again, I encourage you to take a look at the production timeline to see what's going on.  Believe it or not, it takes over two months to get the books printed after the finished files have been emailed.  Mind boggling.  In any case, "July" is currently as precise as we get.  There are rumblings that the release may be timed to coincide with Comic-con (yes, THAT Comic-con).

      4) Most excitingly (more exciting than a release date, to me at least) is that I have received comments on the first draft from my developmental editor, Kiele Raymond.  Kiele is a veteran of Simon and Schuster and a total pro.  Her line edits will make the reading smoother and her big picture suggestions have already begun to make the novel a more fulfilling read.

I'll be chugging away on my revision, which is due back to Inkshares in early December.  In the meanwhile, don't forget to check out It's All Fun and Games on Facebook and hook up with me on twitter @llabak.

      Thanks again for your support!

      Cheers
      Dave

        Look what I just finished...

Now I need to scan it in, order prints, and send them off to my longsuffering coloring contest winners!

I think prints will be a prize for another thing I'm planning, too.

        Happy Veteran's Day!

          G. Derek Adams liked an update for Practical Applications For Multiverse Theory

          Dearest Followers and Pre-orderers,

It is with much excitement that we address you today.

They say not to judge a book by its cover. We judge books by their covers all the time. LIKE ALL THE TIME. Pulitzer Prize? Don't care, better have a fun title font. National Book Award? If the color palate doesn't speak to us, we'll never read the words.

So we're excited to unveil for you today the final cover of 'Practical Applications for Multiverse Theory,' otherwise known as the thing that will people will judge as they decide whether or not to buy our book. LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN!

           3 . . .

          2 . . .

          1. . .

LOLZ just kidding that's a dog dressed as a dinosaur. So silly. Here's the real cover:

So there it is. Share it with your friends. Make it your profile picture. Print out giant posters of it and slather them to every building in town! Soon, you'll see it start to pop up in places all over the internets where you can buy the book!

Speaking of which, most of you have already purchased the book. But if you know anyone who hasn't, or want to purchase more copies for yourselves, please do so. The number of preorders a book gets is a big way that book stores determine how many copies they will order and keep in store.

To make link sharing easy, we've provided the big three below:

           Amazon

          Barnes & Noble

           Inkshares

You'll hear from us soon with some more updates, but for now enjoy the poster! Place it on the ceiling above you bed so you look at it all night! Look at it during your "private" time! Pass out copies of it in Times Square!

           Thanks, Nick & Noa

And then there comes the day. The day when the sun shines and you see something beautiful.

Here it is. The official front cover of Asteroid Made of Dragons. The entire team at Inkshares and Girl Friday Production and our designer David Drummond really knocked it out of the park. Tom and Veronica from Sword & Laser were also instrumental in guiding the style of this and I can't thank them enough. If it weren't for all these skilled, talented, kind people - the cover would have probably come out looking something more like this:

            How do I feel?

Proud and terrified. This cover is marketable and slick and makes me feel very, very grown up. Also it kind of looks like a Beholder.

I wanted you guys to be the first to see - as you're the ones that made it happen. I'll do an 'official' reveal on my site in the next day or so, but for now GAZE DEEPLY INTO THE ABYSS.
