Michael Molisani liked an update for Lucky

Dear Readers,

We’re doing so well, y’all! I mean, we’re doing so well that my Southern accent is coming out in my typing. That’s something.

One thing that has been a wonderfully rewarding experience with Inkshares is the community of authors and readers that I have found. I’m typically very shy around new people and new communities and numerous Inkshares authors have reached out and grabbed me with digital hugs and so much support. While we’re no where close to done with this campaign, I want to acknowledge all of those who have helped keep Lucky visible over the past several weeks.

I want to make a shout out to Elayna Mae Darcy, whose wonderfully snarky blog post has made my day. You can read it here: http://elaynamusings.com/2016/03/02/women-slaying-at-scifi/ Please check it out and check out Elayna’s novel here: https://www.inkshares.com/books/they-are-the-last-7039?referral_code=c497ffef She’s had the flu the past few days so maybe think some healthy vibes her way as well.

And now for the big news (drumroll please): A new chapter is coming this afternoon! Yes, you heard me. I’ve been resistant to uploading all of my currently written chapters to Inkshares before the end of the campaign, but one consistent comment I receive is "I want to read more!" So you’ll get more this afternoon.

We’re this close to our goal. This close, folks. If you’ve preordered a copy, thank you. Now, convince your neighbor, your roommate, your cousin, or even your dentist to order a copy. We are half way to Quill and 18% to full publishing. If all of my readers convince just two other people to pick up a copy of Lucky by March 15 (bolded so you don’t forget!), we will make our goals and be set to go. Help me help everyone get the books you ordered!

Thanks again to you all!

IT’S AMAZING HOW A smell can bring back such a vivid memory. A simple, familiar scent can trigger a sensation you didn’t even know you had, like a key to a door you didn’t know was locked.

For Lithia, the aroma of wet soil was home. It transported her back to simpler times. It brought back her childhood, when the world was new and vibrant. It was the smell of the first chilled breeze on a cool summer evening. It was the moment the sun dipped below the trees and began to wink away beyond . . .
