Michelle Morone liked an update for The Last Faoii

Okay, Faoii! Listen up!

We’re still sitting at number 10 on the leader board, but the gap between us and #9 (not to even mention #1) has widened considerably. Meanwhile, the person at #11 is gaining on us.

I’ll keep you updated as I can, and I’ll keep doing whatever I can behind the scenes to make this book into a reality--but it’s getting more obvious by the day that my battle plans aren’t as effective as I’d hoped. If you have any ideas, I’m willing to listen. Just send me a missive and I’ll take whatever ideas you have into consideration. Every little bit helps.

That’s all I have to say today, Faoii. Dismissed.

Michelle Morone liked an update for The Last Machine in the Solar System

Hello Machiners! And a happy Saturday to all of you!

So have you seen it yet??

You must have. After all it’s been up on the Inkshares homepage for The Last Machine for more than a week.... And I know each of you must be checking in over at Inkshares.com almost daily as you eagerly anticipate any updates on when Jonathan, the last machine, will finally arrive on your doorstep (as a book, not a 9 foot tall robot)!

It’s going to be a bit longer, Inkshares has decided April 2017 is more conducive to a successful publication date than February. So Spring 2017 it is!! And back we all go to our thumb twiddling...

And now, without further ado, for those of you who don’t frequent Inkshares as often as you should, the final high resolution cover art!!!

Awesome, isn’t it?! Many thanks to artist Dan Stiles for this tremendous result. It’s going to absolutely POP on the bookstore shelves!

Lastly, Jonathan and Nikolai are officially back in action, together, billions of years earlier in a new short story called "The Creator and The Machine" to be published in the Nerdist contest winning video games anthology Too Many Controllers!!! I may have BURIED the LEAD here. Go check it out and grab a copy of this epic book full of work by exciting Inkshares authors!

And believe me, there are a ton of great books funding right now on Inkshares that deserve your attention; in particular there is a Geek & Sundry sponsored FANTASY contest going on right now. Lots of cool potential books to peruse!

    Have a great weekend!

Michelle Morone liked an update for Thrum

      Hi everyone,

Just a note before supper to say thanks, as always, for your support. Today I crossed the 30,000 word mark today, which is a nice feeling.

Right now the Homelanders are getting ready to leave. There have been some hardships, and they’re reeling from what they’ve lost.

Starting a journey is always tough. You have to leave the safety of the familiar for the amorphous unknown. I’ve done a bit of it myself, and the only thing I’ve really learned is that your reasons for going have to be good enough to keep you moving forward.

Today I’m starting to believe in what I’m writing, but that’s not really why I do it. Creativity is something that everyone has to express somehow. I’ve tried a bunch of different ways. I’ve been lucky to do a little dance, theatre, art, and music as well as writing. Each one has its unique joys and its challenges, but the sensation of connecting with creative work is constant across them all.

I wish you each something to connect to today. I hope you’re well.

Michelle Morone liked an update for Fae Child

Hello readers/followers/people who got lost and aren’t sure how they got here,

Just wanted to update you on what is going on in the world of Fae Child, and in my world. I’m surrounded by a pile of clean laundry (which I’ve actually managed to fold), it’s going to be a scorcher today and I’ve got to go to work later. On a Saturday. But for now it’s quiet up here in my room, the internet is working and here we are.

        We’ve got 22 orders!

I can’t really believe I’ve gotten that many, but the fact is in order to get close to the top ten of the Geek & Sundry contest Fae Child is going to need more. A lot more. I’ve messaged everyone in my social media circles but I just don’t have that big of a network. I need your help! Do you know someone who likes fantasy novels, or books in general, who might enjoy supporting a new author? Email them the link to this book! Here it is: http://inkshares.com/books/fae-child You can also hit the ’recommend’ links up at the top of the project page, this will attach a unique referral code and I’ll be able to track who’s referred who when more orders come in.

So far my top referrer is Kyle T. Cowan, who generously recommended my book to his followers. Check out his novel Sunshine is Forever - "A fiction novel for anyone who’s ever been depressed, or knows someone who suffers from depression. Sunshine is Forever is full of life lessons, but it is ultimately a story about a teenager learning to take responsibility for his mistakes." SiF (can I abbreviate it? I’m gonna do it!) is racking up the preorders, so read a bit of it and see what you’re missing.

Back to my book - I have been writing every day. Every successful writer will always say the secret is to WRITE ALL THE TIME. So I am. Once we reach 30 preorders I’ll drop another sample chapter on you from the first draft. I also have a new cover in the works, thanks to my friend Christin Gattuso, who is way more talented than I am.

Thank you again, sorry this rambled on so long. I feel like I’m doing this -

        - just insert ’MY BOOK’ instead of ’me’. ;)

I thought id talk about some of the major issues with the forums

          First, FIX THE TAGGING BUTTON.
Ive had to type this comment NINE times and many others because Im trying to tag someone, and I mess up so i have to backspace, but whats this?! it doesnt delete, it sends me back to the forum page. Thats a problem.

second, MAKE IT EASIER TO GET TO THE FORUMS.
Not everyone knows how to work a computer as well as the forum users, evidenced by the older authors on here. Earlier today someone , who entered into the G&S contest commented about how he just now found the forums. This is a HUGE problem. I should be able to see the option to get to the forums ANYWHERE on the site WITHOUT going through a cluttered UI

third and finally: Please, for the love of god, get rid of some of those forum categories. Ask Inkshares, Inkshares news, Inkshares books... NONE ARE NEEDED. I know it sounds like Im angry its just annoying and unnecessary, especially since the traffic on the forums is near bubkis. General, Authors, and Support are the only three categories you need. For now at least, maybe later you can add Readers and News. But for now stick with just the three.
@Joseph Terzieva @A.C. Weston hope either of you see this and can relay my suggestions to the head honchos
