Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for Borehole Bazaar: A Vow Unbroken

So a friend just sent me this message.  I assume this is partly why a good large number of us do what we do, so I figured I’d share.  Sorry if it’s spammy.

"You have inspired [my life partner of 3 years] so much with his writing. He is also a fantasy writer. Right now he has been writing like double his average amount while drinking coffee out of his dreams are worth chasing cup.  I just thought you should know. It fills me with happy."

The Dreams Are Worth Chasing cup is something I’m offering as an extra incentive to folks who let me know they want one.  It just has the spiral from Borehole Bazaar cover art on one side and the words Dreams Are Worth Chasing on the other side.  Comes in glass and painted ceramic.  The painted ceramic is microwave, food and dishwasher safe, except I wrapped the handle in leather, so that might unravel at some point.  If you want one, two pre-orders of any level is the cost, that and you have to let me know your address and that you’re interested in the swag.

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for The Traveller’s Cup

Top of the Thursday, Space Crew!

Welp, I know this is almost a week late. If it’s any consolation, that might mean two updates in one week? Or should I spare your inboxes? Lemme know.

The thing is, I’ve been legitimately busy legitimately working on legitimate projects. Oh, and impromptu travel and hosting friends from out of town. All in good fun. But mostly this summer is about working for you guys, and I’ve been doing a lot of that.

First, This Weekend is Montreal ComicCon!
I’m going to come hang out on Saturday, mostly in the vendor area, and talk about my book. I’ll have some of these fancy bookmarks with me to give away. If you’re going, please hit me up. Tweeting at me is going to be the best way (@ac_baldwin).

    Podcast Coming Soon!

Last week I spent an hour talking to my old friend Frédéric Byé. Fred hosts a podcast called Creative Magic Unchained where he interviews all sorts of writerly folk and asks them tough questions. You can listen to me awkwardly stumble through them once the cast goes live at the end of the month.

Theme Song...Come on Now, Guys. We’re So Close.
I’ve been working my bottom off to get this done. I’m close. We’re close. We need about ten orders. You know who you are.

And you know, if we have a theme song, it would only make sense to publish a book trailer. Not that I’ve been secretly working on one or anything. What.

Now go forward and enjoy your Friday and the weekend and please come see me at Montreal ComicCon.

Your Sly and Sassy Space Captain,
    -AC

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for Tantalus Depths

      Lore Update:

If you’re as big a sci-fi fan as I am, there’s one question I know you’ve asked many times: "Are we alone in the universe?"

Well, if you lived in the world of Tantalus Depths, you’d have an answer to that question, albeit not a very satisfactory one. Also a potentially troubling one...

The mission to Tantalus 13 is about to completely shatter humanity’s understanding of its place in the universe, but for better or worse? Why is life so rare in our galaxy? And for that matter...are we safe?
Pre-order Tantalus Depths to find out!

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for A God in the Shed

        Hey there!

So much news, but we’re gonna keep it efficient!

        • The manuscript for A God in the Shed has been sent to Inkshares. It’s in the hands of editors right now. This is the Dark Times. The days when I worry that my editor won’t like my story. It’s always more fun/better when the editor likes the story.
        • Working feverishly on Arch-Android. I ; love working in this world again! Going back to the partial draft after so long I’ve decided on a few minor changes that have exploded into huge shifts in characters and plot lines and it’s simply the most awesome time working on it. Arch-Android is so much fun to work on. If it’s half as entertaining to read as it is to write I think you, my friends, will love it.
        • Arch-Android is the sequel to The Life Engineered. If you haven’t read this first book in the series I highly recommend that you do and, good news(!), the price for the digital version has been cut. 3.99$ will get you a DRM free eBook of The Life Engineered. You can have the future of humanity in your hands for less than a cup of coffee from a trendy barista.
        • IMPORTANT: In 8 tiny little days, the Nerdist Video Games Contest will be over. Not just that but so will the pre-order period for Too Many Controllers. I will have a story in this anthology and I’m honoured to be alongside 14 other awesome and talented writers. You do not want to miss out on this. Check it out and pre-order your copy today.

That is all for now. As always, you’re all the best people in the world for being so supportive. Not only have I found amazing readers in you, but also a great community that I’m proud to call friends.

I remain, as always, your humble servant,

        JF
