Good Monday everyone! I’ve had a ROCKING GOOD WEEKEND!!! Lots of stuff happened. The Borehole Bazaar stuff is that I sold 36 COPIES!!!! This is HUGE news! I’m well on my way to making Quill, but I still need a little bit more help to get the last bit of the way!
Greetings Destiny-followers,
Well now! Things are still very interesting at the top of the Inkshares/Nerdist contest leader board. Destiny Imperfect is at number two, ahead of number three by a solitary pre-order. Number four is very much in striking distance, and a swarm of butterflies seems to have lodged in my stomach! Friday is the day of reckoning, and when the judgement comes down, it’ll be seven shades of awesome if Destiny is to be counted among the top three.
Of course, to achieve this requires putting the ’crowd’ into crowdfunding. If you’ve already made the commitment to support Destiny (fabulous stuff and thanks!), grab your nearest and dearest and run them through the benefits of getting in early (reflected glory; I knew him when he was nothing; OK - I’ll do it- stop freaking bugging me!). If you are following Destiny but have yet to dive into the pre-order pool, come on in- the water’s fine! We’d love to see you here!
Have a great day!
Cheers,
Peter
Well, I might have lost the 72 ounce steak eating challenge, but I did receive another syndicate pick! That’s the Idiosyncraticate Syndicate, and those guys are awesome! We have a lot of ground to cover before September to reach the full publishing goal of 750, and this is exactly the push we need. I’ve also decided that every 50 orders will see the drawing for another print from The Sleeping Man art, and when we hit 300 I will eat a python:
The only bad part about this roadtrip is I lost Emma in Texas because she refused to take her state issued gun.

Please share this book and pre-order so I can afford bail for Emma, it’s getting to her. I can see it in her eyes.
Sweet Dreams,
Stephen
I’m still on a bit of a high after Mission 51 was honored with the July selection of the GREAT SCIFI for the 21st CENTURY and BEYOND SYNDICATE! Now there is an extra badge on my project page, to go along with the Inkshares "Staff Pick" badge. Wow!
But really, this is not the time for celebration. There are only 27 days left for Mission 51 to get to 250 pre-orders before it can be published. Time is running short!
Mission 51 has 167 awesome followers. Of those, 109 have pre-ordered their copy of the book, some ordering multiple copies. Thank you very much!
This update is actually a request to the 58 others who have yet to place their pre-order. If you have been waiting for some reason, the time to act is now! Please, take a moment and click the green button below to place your pre-order. And remember, I will match it dollar for dollar with a donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, who do an absolutely awesome job helping families with sick kids.
Thank you in advance for your kind support! And thank you for liking and sharing my endless posts, and for promoting to your friends. The Mission 51 family has grown because of you! Thank you! :-)
Greetings Destiny-followers,
Release the kraken! Awesome work, people! Thanks to all of you for getting behind this project. Right now Destiny Imperfect is tied for 2nd in the Inkshares/Nerdist contest and there’s less than a week left. Both the excellent In Beta and Destiny are currently at 162 pre-orders. It’d be fantastic if we could lock in 2nd place as, no doubt, In Beta has a kraken or two of its own to release.
So where does this put us? Destiny now has over 200+ followers (thanks very much!) and many of you have already placed a pre-order. If you haven’t pre-ordered yet, it’d be great if you could take a look at chapter one of Destiny Imperfect and see if it’s something you could support. The bigger the crowd we get into the crowdfunding, the stronger Destiny will be!
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Cheers,
Peter
I am interrupting my day at work because of this unbelievable happening, and I simply had to share it with you! I have gotten the highest honor I have ever received for my writing! I was notified a few minutes ago by @Matthew Isaac Sobin, the syndicate lead of the GREAT SCIFI for the 21st CENTURY and BEYOND SYNDICATE that Mission 51 is their July selection!!!!
Like I told Matt, this honor has left me spinning with feelings. I am humbled that anyone would think of me and my work like this. I am overjoyed! And I feel like a funny fear has been lifted, a fear that my thought and words are insignificant. This honor is very encouraging!
Here is what Matt had to say:
The SciFi syndicate is thrilled to support Mission 51 with our July selection! Ferd Crôtte has created something truly intoxicating. The perfect premise, which takes one of the great mysteries / intrigues of the 20th century and puts us directly in the alien’s shoes; it’s SciFi and historical fiction wrapped into one. In addition, there is special artwork which illuminates the story with a deft touch. We can’t wait to read more, and for this story to become a book on our shelves. We encourage our fellow Inkshares authors and readers to support this praiseworthy project!
Matt, thank you very, very much from the bottom of my heart for this valued honor! I am re-energized to continue making Mission 51 the absolutely best it can be! Thank you!!!
Greetings Jackolytes,
Sync City’s stable mate, Destiny Imperfect, has managed to gallop its way into 3rd position in the Inkshares/Nerdist contest. This is fantastic news, but there’s a ton of work to be done before Jack can kick back and welcome his new buddy over for a drink or two.
For Jack and Destiny to enjoy a brew, we need to stave off some excellent competition and surge our way onwards and upwards. Destiny Imperfect has already received tremendous support from the Sync City community and it’d be awesome if this help could be extended. Check out Destiny Imperfect here. Then sample chapter one and hit pre-order if you think it’s something you could support. If Destiny fails to maintain a position in the top three then Jack, just like George Thorogood, will be forced to drink alone.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Cheers,
Peter
