Matthew Isaac Sobin liked an update for The Bones of the Past

Copy edits are done, and we have a cover!

Thank you all for your comments and feedback! I am really grateful to everyone who took the time to voice their opinion. This final version has been tweaked to make it a little lighter, and I think will be really eye-catching both on store shelves and as an online thumbnail!

Next step is trying to secure cover blurbs from prominent authors or reviewers, then final proofreads, spine and back cover design, and final interior layout for both the ebook and hardcopy versions! It’s all coming together!

Thank you all yet again!

Matthew Isaac Sobin liked an update for Bad Medicine: Slay it queen!

    Friends, the end is near!!

Then end of this contest that is. We are a little bit over a week away from the final day of the contest and thanks to you Bad Medicine: Slay it Queen!  Is still in the top three.

I want to thank you all for your support. Bad Medicine is a book very close to my heart. This strong and resilient character has given me the opportunity to write someone completely different from myself.

Bad Medicine is a daredevil; she is fearless and heroic in ways she doesn’t even know. Going on this amazing adventure through her eyes and wearing her heels is like climbing on your favorite ride over and over again.

This is why I want to win this contest so badly. I bug my friends one, two, three and ten times until they pre-order because I know that when they read the book, they will think, “he was a royal pain, but this is worth it.”

And now to the fun stuff!

We have a new queen joining the cast of Bad Medicine. Let’s welcome Miss Dusty Carrots, AKA Mister Thomas Donato.

Dusty Carrots is a comedy queen, whose drag can be described as “sexy clown on crack realness.”

Full disclosure Tom is my husband, but I can assure you THIS contest is not rigged! The names are chosen randomly, and his was chose randomly as well. Trust me, I’m a writer, I don’t makeup stories.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

Matthew Isaac Sobin liked an update for Dracula vs. Hitler

      Dear Readers,

I’ve heard word that some of you have already received your e-book copies and your hardback copies of the book in advance of the Oct 25th publishing date. I’m thrilled that you’re able to enjoy the book early. Your support, of course made this release possible.

Special thanks to Felicia Day for signing almost 1000 headshots for the hardback owners and her continued online support of the book.

If you enjoy the book and are willing to take one extra step, I would be most grateful for a review left on Goodreads or Amazon.

It will go very far in getting the book out to more people. I’m thrilled that the book is being reviewed very well by the press and I will share any of those as I get them over the next week before launch.

I am doing a small number of appearances to sign the book in person. Sometimes you can bring in the book to get a signature if you purchase something else in the store in exchange. Be sure to call to check to make sure that’s permissible, but I would be thrilled to meet some of you in person to thank you for your support.

        Dear friends

Bad Medicine: Slay it Queen! was selected as the book of the month by the Snarky Darksy Syndicate. This was an amazing surprise. I had no idea your humble drag queen had been nominated. I want to thank all the members of the syndicate  for choosing my book. Your support means the world to me.

On other important news, the inspiration behind Bad Medicine, Alaska Thunderfuck, was crowned last night RuPaul Drag Race All Star winner. As a huge Alaska fan, I am double happy. I was rooting for her from the beginning.

(from the left my husband Tom, Alaska, my friend Koleen and I)

That is all for today. As always, thank you for your support. We have only two weeks left in the contest and Bad Medicine: Slay it Queen is still in second place. That is good news, but I have to keep pushing. The contest is not over until is over and there are many other deserving books that could kick me out of the top 3.

        Have a wonderful weekend!

Matthew Isaac Sobin liked an update for Tantalus Depths

Good lord...I don’t even have words...

We did it. We finally did it.

After campaigning day and night since March...after losing literally hundreds of orders in the credit abuse scandall....after extending the campaign a whole two extra months...We’ve done it. We’ve reached the full publishing goal of 750 copies.

Tantalus Depths is a book now. It’s an honest to God book with a full publication deal. It’s happening.

It took 461 people and six syndicates to make this happen. Of particular note is the Idosyncraticate Syndicate, which swooped in out of absolutely nowhere and pushed us over the final line. Thank you all, from the depths of my heart. I love you all for this.

I’ll have more words soon, when I can process them. For now, I can only say: thank you.

My life changed forever today. I owe that to you.

              Huge news!

Just one day after receiving the Rite of Passage Syndicate pick, we’ve been given the tremendous honor of being named as the Staff Syndicate’s October pick! The Staff Syndicate is the second-larges syndicate on Inkshares, and thanks to them, we are currently now only TWENTY-EIGHT orders away from full publishing!

Guys...we could finish it today. Campaigns tend to build up a lot of momentum once they get this close to a publishing goal. Now is the time! Pour everything you have into getting the word out, because we are SO close.

Matthew Isaac Sobin liked an update for Rise

So there is some news to share.   Rise is going to be an audio-book!  The deal is for Rise and a sequel, in this case Fall.  I can’t wait to get my hands on this.  Definitely will be listening to that on some runs.

In other news, Rise is closing in on 2000 copies sold.  And most of that buzz pushing the sales is coming from you.  Thank you so much!  If you’re reading your copy now, I’d appreciate a "Reading" mark on Goodreads.  And a review when you’re finished would be awesome.

In Fall news, I’m editing act 3 before sending it off to my editor.  After that, I got back and do a rework based on the edits I already have for acts 1 and 2.  If you haven’t pre-ordered your copy, the sooner you do the sooner we can get it into production and in your hands.

              You are all awesome!
