Friends!
Quick but exciting update:
Devil’s Call went to the copy editor (the lovely Jessica Gardner) this morning, a mere two months later than we originally thought it would, and the word on the street is I should have her comments in a week or so, assuming there isn’t something terribly wrong lurking in the manuscript somewhere.
The next step after copy editing is proofreading. I will update y’all when that happens.
In the meantime, those of you who have attempted to place orders and been unable to, the site recently went through an overhaul and the order page is functional again.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck with me and this project for as long as you have. A year ago, this thing was 75 pages long and begging for an overhaul. As of this morning, it’s around 200 pages and actually, you know. Looks like a novel. If it weren’t for all of your support, that wouldn’t have happened.

Dear friends and followers,
I’m still around. Things are quiet with "Murder at the Veterans’ Club" right now: we’re still waiting for an editor. In the meantime, my current project with Choice Of Games is keeping me occupied.
I’d like to draw your attention, though, to a couple of other projects currently funding on Inkshares:
1) "Love, Derric", by Jason Pomerance. I’m currently about 80% of the way through Pomerance’s first novel with Inkshares, "Women Like Us", and I’d say he has a pretty good feel for the nuances of human relationships and the humour therein. "Love, Derric" is a true story about a rescued beagle, and I expect to see the same sort of humour and nuance in the relationships developing around the dog and his new owners/rescuers. Anyone who’s had a dog or loved a dog is certain to indentify with the story.
2) "Wake Up Call", by J.T.R. Russell. This one presents a world in which the deities of ancient mythologies are still knocking around; our protagonist is a normal human being working in an antique shop owned by one of these mythical deities, though we’re not sure which one. The tone is very humorous, and I expect to come out of this laughing.
There are a lot of projects happening on Inkshares, always. So, until next time: keep reading, and have fun.

sent an update for Love, Derric: My Journey From Laboratory Experiment to Freagle (who eats burritos at the beach)
Hi! It’s me, Studious Derric! Stay tuned for some updating from Dad about the book.
Hey! Jason here. First, apologies for the delay in updating but between marketing chores on Women Like Us, putting the finishing touches on a follow-up novel and hatching the plot to get it published (more traditional route on this one), other work duties and, well, life, finding time for Derric’s book has been a little challenging. But the good news is most of the writing work on Novel 2 is just about done and now I can focus on helping Derric get his story out.
One thing I’ll have to do, however, is request an extension from Inkshares for the campaign. I just didn’t leave enough time for this. Hopefully that won’t be an issue. Do always keep in mind that if for whatever reason the book doesn’t hit it’s funding goal, you’re pre-order will be refunded. So thanks for your patience, early supporters, and more to come soon!
Love, Derric (and Jason)
Well, after a few minor technical issues, Ghosts of War is done and in the hands of a small group of beta readers.
This is an important step and a terrifying one. This will be the first time anyone outside of my head knows how the story ends, which has been a closely guarded secret for, oh, about 6 years now. So yeah, this will be me for the next few weeks:

Though it also means I can have a little bit of a break for a week or 2 while I wait, which will be nice. I need a break.
Until next time.
Greetings hexers,

Hello, early adopters!
This is the first Worlds Walker official update!
I wanted to take a second and say thank you for supporting this project. We still have a long way to go until we hit funding, but don’t worry; I have a plan.
The good news is that the Worlds Walker manuscript is practically done, so once we hit funding I can send it to Inkshares right away.
My plan is to ramp up the campaign in March after I finish writing Bad Medicine: Slay it Queen! Which is my main priority right now.
I know many of you are eager to read The Catcher’s Trap sequel. You have no idea how happy I feel every time someone says they enjoyed my first novel and want more. I can assure you I put as much love and dedication to Worlds Walker as I did with The Catcher’s Trap. Hopefully, it will show.
In the meantime, please help me spread the word. If you haven’t gotten your copy of Worlds Walker yet, please consider getting it today. Tell your friends about The Catcher’s Trap and Worlds Walker and share the link to the book on social media.
We’ll be talking again very soon!
