Hi all. I’m making solid progress on my first novel, A Day in the Lies of Inari Meiwaku. But there’s one key detail of one scene I’m having trouble with.
When working out how my protagonist, Inari Meiwaku, would get through a bar fight against a band of supernatural revellers I decided that she would set it to music. She tells a secondary character to choose a song from the jukebox and lets the music dictate the rhythm of the fight. It might not work in a real fight but she’s not human and neither are her opponents.
What I can’t decide is what the song should be. It should be jaunty, fast paced and fun with perhaps a little aggression to it.
Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas?
