Children of the Dire: The Renegade Blade
Amidst the gathering storm, rebellions and alliances are sealed and broken, gods cast lots on warring nations, and ravens whisper prophecy into the ears of druids. The renegade blade rises from ash, to burn through the endless night as fire.

This is just a thing of general curiosity - does anybody else have writing playlists?

I have one playlist for general writing and then occasionally make ones for specific moods or characters - I’m curious to know if anybody else does the same thing!

I don’t usually write with music on, but I definitely make Spotify playlists geared to each story. They’re great for keeping yourself in the brainstorming headspace while you’re stuck doing other things like driving/working/etc.

I find it all depends on how motivated I am to write when I sit down at my desk.  I have a couple of tracks that will always make me want to write, and then if it’s a case of needing to get words down on the page - all I need is something with a steady rhythm.

When I do make playlists for books though, I end up with specific songs for different characters and then the lyrics and feel of the song matter a lot more.
I’m definitely guilty of listening to the same song over and over if it matches really well to a scene I’m writing!
