Brian and Michelle Guthrie liked an update for Mission 51

Wow!! Mission 51 just keeps getting better and better!!

I am thrilled to announce another artistic collaboration!

Chris Pyke is a fabulous artist from the UK, who has agreed to render his superb line art for Mission 51. His study of the written material is meticulous. His choice of moment, framing, angle of presentation, and especially the integrity with the story, are simply amazing!

The first piece from Chris is a moment from the chapter called The Crash. Here is the image and an excerpt:

From The Crash:

Finally they reached the top of a ridge, very close to their destination. Through the binoculars they could see a depression at the top of the next ridge, where the last of the dust continued to fall. There were large rocks to the west of the depression, obviously part of the shattered mountain top. But whatever caused it did not stop there. From their vantage point, they could see down into the lower lands of the valley further to the west. Juan pointed out to Juanito a long, dark streak in the land, heading northwest, in the direction of whatever it was they saw flash by overhead. In the far distance, they could see a rising tower of black, billowing smoke. They looked at each other, worried and wildly curious at the same time. Juanito pointed, “Vámos, Papi. Yá!”

Awesome!!

Thank you, Chris Pyke, and welcome to the Mission 51 creative team!

You can find Chris at his DeviantArt site, and at his PykesWorld weebly site.

Brian and Michelle Guthrie liked the forum thread, Very Exciting week!
A lot of people haven’t seen my updates for some reason so I thought i’d make a post about it. This week was super exciting! I got to meet the Inkshares team this week! Being bold I literally just showed up at their office was really taken with how nice and supportive everyone was.

It was really exciting being able to seethe legendary wall of published books. It wont be too long before mine is up there!

I even got to hold @Richard Heinz Book before he did. :P That was a trip!

@Elena Stofle Was sweet enough to toss me a copy of @Landon Crutcher ’s book. Super cool.

It was a real honor meeting the entire team and finding out they were ordinary San Francisco Bay Area Startup guys and really down to Earth.  If you’re ever in the Oakland Area I suggest doing the same. They can use the distraction ;)

Brian and Michelle Guthrie liked an update for Monkey Business

There it is folks. An actual physical copy of Monkey Business sitting on my actual physical counter top. 261 copies are somewhere in the clutches of UPS right now on their way back to Inkshares HQ where those hard working folks will open them up and ship them to all of you who were good enough to back this project.

I’m so happy and proud to be the first book published under the Quill Imprint of Inkshares, especially given the many and great looking books that are soon to follow. I don’t mean to overstate but it feels like an honor and I hope the book can live up.

You should have all received your ebook files. Whether you intend to enjoy Monkey Business on your favorite eReading device or wait until actual paper is in your hands, I just hope you do enjoy it. I hope it makes you laugh. I hope it makes you glad you invested some of your hard earned dollars. If you do enjoy it you could do one more thing for me that is of vital importance.

Please leave a review on Amazon by clicking here!

As many of my fellow authors have pointed out Amazon reviews are very important to gaining visibility and growing audience. And all that marketing stuff.

So please, please, please take a moment to leave a review. Please enjoy the book. Thank you for all of your support and I’ll keep you posted as I’m hoping to do a few interviews, giveaways and other promotional stuff in the future.

One last thing. I think the next Quill novel to be released is going to be Jason Pomerance’s Women Like Us. So please go check that book out. Jason is a hell of a nice guy and happens to be a pretty damn good writer!

That’s all for now. I’ll write you guys more later and ask for more favors.

        - Landon
