Kendra Namednil liked an update for Mushroom and Anchovy

Greetings, adventurers!

This will likely be the last time you hear from me for a bit as I delve into all the material necessary to help bring Mushroom and Anchovy to life. There’s a lot of work to be done, so if I don’t update for awhile, that’s why. I assure you that you will find out information as I do, so please don’t worry!

Thank you for bearing with me last week while I took a little step away. Here are the winners of the draw:

Congrats to PAULETTE DIOTTE! You have won the $50 Amazon gift card! And congratulations to VICTORIA MARTIN and CAPRICE FRANCIS, the two winners of the Hub City Survival ebooks. Hooray!

I’m "going on vacation" next week, which really means I’m taking a week long break from social media and work that isn’t 100% for me. I’m going on my bi-annual Unicorn Cave Writer’s Retreat next week, as well, to try and gather some new creative energy, hike in the woods, sit by the campfire, and more.

In the meantime, please join me over at my blog and my Facebook page! I just released a new post: What’s next? This regards the future of my other projects.

Thanks again for reaching this goal with me, adventurers! If you wanted to preorder but missed the campaign, you’re still welcome to do so as the book will be accepting preorders up until its release.

I may not talk to you all soon, but it’ll be as soon as I can.

May your adventures be fraught with wonder and just enough peril to keep them interesting,

K. M. Cooper

Kendra Namednil liked an update for The Madness of Mr. Butler

    Hello friends!

A couple of things going on, aside from the rewrite:

    1) I hope you all received the prologue. It’s a quick read, and it sets the mood for the book. Any and all feedback is welcome. I hope it makes you laugh. This is my first draft of the prologue, and I liked it so much I wanted to put it up on the page to share. Special thanks to my good friend Peter Ryan for the help with the Aussie slang. Thanks to your help, the dialogue is fair dinkum. Peter is a fellow author, and quite the talent. You can buy his released book, "Sync City," here, and follow his next book, "Destiny Imperfect," here.

    2) We are looking at a possible title change. Not that I don’t like "The Madness of Mr. Butler," but it would be great to get a title that captures the mood of the book as well as give an indication that it is sci-fi in its roots. My favorite thus far is "The Man Who Stole the World." If you have any opinions or suggestions in this regard, please let me know.

That’s really it at the moment, as I have to get back to writing. Thank you once again for your support!

    Love to all,

    -Michael

Kendra Namednil liked an update for The Knightmares

      Hello Knightmares!

I am long overdue for an update. Forgive me, because I have news.

The Knightmares will be starting the production process soon! I have been contacted by the powers-that-be and things are moving forward. HOWEVER, in order to proceed, I need to cut the word count of my manuscript. The amount of words I need to cut will be quite an ordeal.

At first I viewed this as a setback, but as I began combing through the material once again, I see this as a positive. Stepping away from the project for the last year has given me new perspective, not just on my writing, but an overall way to cut information that was no longer useful. This should allow The Knightmares to become leaner, and move at a quicker pace.

I cannot promise when I will be able to finish these edits, but I am doing my best considering how long everyone has waited. I have time I can take from my job to work on it, and I will do everything in my power to get it out quickly.

During this process, I will reveal the new cover design, which has a few small edits needed. It is a powerful cover, and I’m sure everyone will like it as much as I do.

Until the next time, thank you for your patience and your enduring faith in the project. Big things are coming.

      Thank you!
      G.A. Finocchiaro

Kendra Namednil liked an update for The Last Faoii

        Greetings, Faoii!

Our warriors have started sending in reports that they’ve received their books! After six long years, The Last Faoii is real, and I almost can’t contain my joy at its existence. As always, I have you to thank for this.  Thank you so much for your continued support. I can’t believe we made this possible.

Don’t forget-- the absolute BEST thing you can do for The Last Faoii now is to leave reviews on Amazon and Good Reads. Good reviews are the best way to make sure that word about our army spreads, and not-as-good reviews are the best way for me to learn to be a better writer in the future. Everyone has an opinion. I truly want to hear yours.

I couldn’t have gotten this far without you, Faoii, but I know that I still have a long journey ahead of me. Please be a part of it. There are still more battles on the horizon.

Shields up. I can’t believe we did it!

        Faoii-Tahani

Howdy and good tidings to all!

I have some very big news!  But I am waiting on a few final pieces to fall into place before sharing all the wonderful details.  It shall have to suffice to say that my game of Hurry Up and Wait has started to pay off.

To everyone, I wish you good luck and much success in all your ventures.  To my fellow bibliophiles, authors and readers alike, I wish you the kinds of dreams that come true, no matter how unlikely, and the kind of truths that are as dreams.

              Dear Readers,

Ready, set, GO! I have the green light to proceed with rewriting the manuscript. It’s taken a few storyboard drafts, wrong turns, and vision corrections, but we finally have a version of the story that both Inkshares and I are excited about. I think you’ll all love it, too. I was travelling for business the past week and a half, but now that I’m back at home, I can’t wait to get started.

Of course, there’s still much to do. I don’t have an estimate on how long it will take to rewrite the manuscript, as I intend to do much of it from scratch using all the great new story telling skills I’ve acquired, but I’ll have my older manuscript copies open for direct reference. There are about 300 pages and 80,000 words to compose, but I plan to keep at it daily and I hope to do 2000 words per day (40 days and 40 nights…hmm). Once I’m done, I will submit it back to Inkshares for the development edit, and there will be at least one round of edits at that point, maybe more. Then it goes to the copy editor. Then…actually I don’t know what the next steps are after that, but I’ll keep you posted!

              Cheers, Debbie

                The Shift: The Stoneford Chronicles
A modern-day American town is suddenly transported to a fantasy world where gods, magic, and monsters exist. Now they must fight for survival, defend their home, and venture out in search of answers... and, hopefully, a way back.
Kendra Namednil liked an update for Human Resources

It’s September, Spring has begun in my neck of the world, and the percentage complete on my rewrite tracking continues to climb!

I’m now halfway through the developmental edit rewrite of the second act of Human Resources, and it’s going well. I recently received detailed notes back from my editor for act one, and it was very encouraging; there were a lot of notes, but they were almost entirely at a very low level, suggesting we now have the structure and flow of act one working nicely. My current plan is to power through the rest of act two, hand it over, implement the fixes to act one while they read it, the jump into act three.

It’s time I addressed the elephant lurking in the corner; I know you’re all wondering, “why is this update so late?” Rest assured I still care. The truth, one which totally sounds like a line, but it isn’t (I promise), is that I’ve been so caught up in the rewrite I almost forgot about the update.

Welcome to those who have recently pre-ordered, thank you for joining the team that is helping make this book a reality. For everyone else, thank you for sticking with me — your patience will be rewarded.

                Robert.

Kendra Namednil liked an update for The Devil You Don’t

                  September 12, 2017

Hello! Wanted to send out a quick update with some excellent news: The Devil You Don’t was just named to the Launchpad Top 25 List! Needless to say, I’m over the moon about this.

Thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered a copy so far. I’m at 21 pre-orders right now (which puts me in a tie with two others for 5th/6th/7th place). We have a few weeks to go, but if you’re on the fence about pre-ordering, now would be an awesome time.

I have Chapter 3 ready to share -- and once we hit 30 pre-orders, I’ll put that up!

                  I’ll update again soon!

                  Best,
                  Susan
