J. Graham-Jones sent an update for Witherfist

The contest is almost over!

By 12pm PST / 7pm GMT the Geek & Sundry fantasy contest will be over. That means you have only a few more hours to get your signed paperback copy of Witherfist and support the book as it punches higher up the top 10.

As a little end of contest treat, here is the last in the current series of character portraits. It’s time for Empress Lian to make her grand entrance...

    J. Graham-Jones liked an update for Fae Child

The Geek & Sundry fantasy novel contest ends tomorrow at noon. Fae Child is sitting back in 18th place - out of about 400 entries, that’s pretty good. Respectable, even. But I don’t want to be respectable, I aim to misbehave.

Any order in the next 23 hours will bump me up in the standings of the contest, up the book’s visibility, and better my chances of being published. It would mean a lot to me that if you’re waiting for a perfect moment to preorder, that you would do it now. If you’ve already made an order, ordering another won’t help me in the last hours of the contest. They track individual readers, so get your friends or family to order. We can do it! Here’s the link: http://inkshares.com/books/fae-child

Thank you all for your support - even if it’s just reading through these emails and clicking "like", or sharing Fae Child on Facebook or Twitter. Every little bit helps. NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow, and, although I’m not exactly participating, I will be finishing up the book manuscript. Then, when my preorder campaign ends at the end of the year, I will be getting into the second draft and some serious editing.

Special shoutout to everyone in the G&S contest, especially the top 10 who, quite frankly, amaze me. Together we can all finish this contest out as strong as we’re able.

Well holy moley. I’m in shock.

It looks like after spending a month and a half at the top of the CryptTV contest Weaponized has come out on top. By a hair, but damn, we did it.

Now: You can still order the book and I’m sending the manuscript off to Inkshares later today. The entire book is done and is looking rather polished after several rewrites over the last year.

Also: CryptTV will now select one of the top three to join the ranks of the CryptTV collection. Honestly, at this point that’s just icing on the cake. I know Weaponized will find a good home on the shelf next to Clive Barker regardless.

Now excuse me while I go wonder if I’ve been dreaming for the last two months.

I have so much love for all of you right now. Thank you for making my dream come true.

We did it!!! With your phenomenal last minute support, we pushed all the way into a strong 2nd place, just seven orders shy of first.

This was an amazing experience all the way through. This past hour I’ve been getting calls, posts, and messages from everyone, all rooting for me and doing their best to post another pre-order or two. My heart has grown three sizes today from all the love I’ve received.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

So what happens next? I’ve received some documentation from Inkshares I need to complete, Crypt TV (who sponsored the contest) has to choose one book to make into a TV special or movie, and I need to polish my second draft and submit it for Inkshare to edit. There will be lots of back and forth over the next several months. The ebook will likely come out sooner than the paperback copies, which I expect is about nine months out. I will keep you posted with updates all along the way.

You all rock my world! Thank you, thank you, thank you. :)

          Cheers, Debbie

Joey, I can’t thank you enough for your time and dedication to these updates. I have loved and looked forward to them every week. I was actually wondering if you were going to do one this week and bummed myself out thinking of the possibility of not getting to read your recap.

This journey during the contest has been wild, but getting to know you has been one of the major highlights for me.

I certainly hope to keep in touch with you after all of this is done!
