Hi everyone! Here’s another quick update:
1. First of all, please join me in congratulating Jaye Milius, author of the crazy cool "Terminus," on achieving Quill status! To me, this is what Inkshares is all about, outstanding new authors able to showcase their work, crowdfunding readers like us confirming its value with our pre-orders, resulting in a publication deal by a real publishing company. Really, how awesome is that! - A huge congrats, Jaye, on a completely well-deserved achievement!
2. On a more egotistical note, I noticed Inkshares has me listed as the "#98 Most Influential Reader!" Ha! Who knows how that works! I guess I’ll just keep being who I am and doing what I do, and we’ll see how high that will go! :-)
3. Chris Pyke and I are in the last stages of finalizing another cool illustration. We went back to one of Mission 51’s earlier chapters, "The Press Conference," and picked out not one but two essential moments in that short scene. We’ll present them in a two-pane, comic-book style illustration. I’m pretty excited about that!
4. Mission 51 will continue in draft mode while it is entered in the Launch Pad Manuscript Competition. The competition is now closed, and we are waiting on judging, etc. I have no idea how many people have entered, but I’m sure the competition is fierce. At the very least, I will get comprehensive feedback from a panel of judges who are all important players in the entertainment industry. That’s sure to be valuable. But please, cross fingers and toes for me that Mission 51 is well-received and at least makes the first cut in late September.
5. Last but certainly not least, I extend a very warm welcome to all the new Mission 51 followers. I am truly grateful that you are part of our fantastic family of mutually supportive authors and readers!
Peace and love, y’all! :-)
Hello My Tentacular Friend!
Hello Adventure Readers!
I am two weeks into a family road trip to the Pacific Northwest (son=5yrs, daughter=7yrs, Wife=?yrs & Me along with a car full of gear!!) so my apologies for not being prompt with returning messages and emails. We have been camping in 5 different National Parks, done some Wine tasting and visited Evergreen Aviation Museum in Oregon which is now the home of the great wooden seaplane, the "Spruce Goose". I was first hooked by water flying 34 years ago when I visited the Howard Hughes flying boat in Long Beach California at the age of seven.
Another week on the road and I will be back to reading other projects, writing reviews & recommendations. Thank you all for your generous support. At 193 preorders, we are nearing the homestretch to publication at 250 orders!
I am very excited to have done book swaps with several authors and look forward to doing more. Some authors shy from doing book trades, but in my experience with my 1st published novel at Book Festivals and Author events, I often trade books with other authors and then pass the books along to other eager readers. To get our stories out for an audience to enjoy is the main objective and it’s great to have the mutual support of other writers who know the hardest part isn’t writing the book, but selling it.
I look forward to having all you other followers of the project aboard with a preorder! If you need more of a recommendation than my own, how about the validation of the 2016 "Clive Cussler Adventure Writing Competition" (Wings of the Pirate - Top 10 Semi-Finalist).
If old-fashioned adventure with seaplanes, Air Pirates and a female archeologist caught in the middle is to your liking, you’re gonna love this story!! Click on the green preorder now button and show your support!!
Sincerely,
Eric H. Heisner

Hello Machiners! And a happy Saturday to all of you!
So have you seen it yet??
You must have. After all it’s been up on the Inkshares homepage for The Last Machine for more than a week.... And I know each of you must be checking in over at Inkshares.com almost daily as you eagerly anticipate any updates on when Jonathan, the last machine, will finally arrive on your doorstep (as a book, not a 9 foot tall robot)!
It’s going to be a bit longer, Inkshares has decided April 2017 is more conducive to a successful publication date than February. So Spring 2017 it is!! And back we all go to our thumb twiddling...
And now, without further ado, for those of you who don’t frequent Inkshares as often as you should, the final high resolution cover art!!!

Awesome, isn’t it?! Many thanks to artist Dan Stiles for this tremendous result. It’s going to absolutely POP on the bookstore shelves!
Lastly, Jonathan and Nikolai are officially back in action, together, billions of years earlier in a new short story called "The Creator and The Machine" to be published in the Nerdist contest winning video games anthology Too Many Controllers!!! I may have BURIED the LEAD here. Go check it out and grab a copy of this epic book full of work by exciting Inkshares authors!
And believe me, there are a ton of great books funding right now on Inkshares that deserve your attention; in particular there is a Geek & Sundry sponsored FANTASY contest going on right now. Lots of cool potential books to peruse!
Have a great weekend!
