Hi all! This note is just going out to those who follow The Seclusion on Inkshares. If you follow my most recent project then you may have received a similar note already(if so, I apologize and you can ignore the rest of this message).
For everyone else-hi! I know it has been awhile. I will send out a full newsletter soon for those who are subscribed with an update regarding production for The Seclusion Part 2(still aiming for summer or early fall) and a rundown on what I have been up to lately. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and enjoying the beginning of the holiday season. I am looking forward to connecting with all of you when this insane year is behind us.
Now, for my news:
I’ve entered the novel IT STARTED BENEATH A SEPIA SKY into the Inkshares 2020 All Genre Manuscript Contest.
Unlike my other two novels which relied on preorders to secure a publishing contract, preorders are not necessary this time around, but are appreciated. Winners of this contest will be selected based on reader engagement. So, on that note, if you are up for checking out my posted chapters and leaving a comment or review, I would appreciate it!
This story is one that I’m incredibly excited to share with all of you. A pilot version of this story, that I have been editing alongside the novel, has already garnered a few accolades including:
I hope you enjoy it!

In 2045, the forests are burning, the oceans are rising, corruption is growing, and a group of scientists take matters into their own hands.
This is their confession. Read first chapters here.
All, thank you for the support. Things have been progressing well... I just updated the title of my debut novel and upload new cover art! Check it out!
Hi everyone. Thanks so much to everyone who’s followed my journey through this contest experience. 88 of you have followed me now. So grateful for your interest. I’ve just uploaded a third chapter and hope you’ll check it out. If you like it and have a few moments of time, please leave a review and/or recommendation on the site. THANK YOU AGAIN!

Hi Friends, Readers, Fans of WILD CONVICTION:
Exciting news!
Yesterday, I entered WILD CONVICTION in a contest by Inkshares.
With this contest, the top three books will receive publication, even if the 750 pre-orders are not achieved!
As of now, due to the wonderful support by all of you, WILD CONVICTION is in FIRST PLACE!!
That means, if WILD CONVICTION can stay within the top three, then it will be published.
This contest is based on engagement by those interested in this novel.
Here’s how can you show engagement and continued support to help me achieve my goal of publishing WILD CONVICTION. (You do not need to pre-order any more copies. And THANK YOU for your pre-orders! But it is still wonderful if anyone you know hasn’t pre-ordered yet and still wants to, so YES to that.)
You can show continued support and help me achieve publication of WILD CONVICTION by:

Again, thank you so much for your pre-orders! Together, we have achieved 251 pre-orders for WILD CONVICTION! I am so excited to have reached that number!!
From my fundraising to help achieve the pre-orders, I have donated from my own funds to support important work by the following:
$251 to the Mission of Grace
$50 to Peace Talks Radio
$50 to the UNCF, United Negro College Fund
This has been such a tough year, so I am especially grateful for the support you all have contributed from your own time and funds.
Together, we had achieved about 233 pre-orders at the end of August. Then, on September 1, someone completely dear to me left this Earth suddenly, in a fall while running.
I have been devastated and in a deep place of mourning since that day. I withdrew into my heart and into deep contemplation. That’s where I am still, but, with this message to you all, I am moving back to my creative life.
My gentle-hearted, caring, kind, witty friend was dear not only to me, but to my children, and to all who knew him. He was family.
So many of us have lost loved ones this year. My heart is with you all.
And, again, thank you for your care and support.
