Its been a while since Ive given an update but I figured I should let you guys know where Im at with Billette Hall!

Im so excited! Things are coming along, slow but getting there but Im starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

As you know, I had Billette Hall entered into the horror contest. I didn’t think I would get enough preorders to be able to be one of the top 3 but I was hoping my book would be interesting enough that I could be picked anyway after the fact. The rules for that contest said that there could be other winners picked based on different judge criteria.  

That didn’t happen.

My pre-order period has come and gone and I didn’t renew or extend. 

So what have i been doing?

Well I continued writing for a while then I took a little break. I started back and now Im about a month to 3 months away from finishing (depending on how motivated I can get myself lol).

At that point. Im going to start from the beginning and go over my book and try to get everything ironed out, mistakes, corrections and make sure it reads the way I think it read. 

I already have someone lined up to copyedit the book, I will then send it off to that person. I have had some copyediting work done with this person before and was pretty happy, so Im looking forward to this.

After that, I will need to get a new cover design. Im not going to use the one on this page. I want something that looks a little better/more professional than the one I have. 

At that point. I will decide if I want to give it another go on inkshares or just self publish it myself.

But thats where I am. I hope you all have a great day and spread the word about my book. I think the topic is truly a unique topic for the industry right now. 

Im still hard at work on the book trying to flesh out a few characters a bit further than I already have. I actually think I have too many characters. There are a few that I dont really have much for them to do.  I need to either get rid of them or find reasons for them to be in the story. 

I will most likely not make my preorder goal by the time the preorder period is up in January unless something unexpected happens. I will extend the time and keep on trucking.  This book will be published!  inkshares or pure selfpublishing but it will be published.

I’ve always thought that there should be more stories based in that era but not necessarily about "Slaves" or "slavery"   sortof like how  The Walking Dead TV show/comic has zombies but most of the stories and plots are of things other than zombies etc.
