Hello, Adventurers!
I’m back on the campaign trail after a nice unplug period. I spent some time in the woods and did some writing and artwork on very personal things. Normally, I would work on things like my comics or commissions, but I just wrote and drew things that were for me.
And now, the true campaign work begins!
First of all, a quick thank you to anyone who re-ordered after the minor kerfuffle that caused me to restart the campaign. I really do apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for deciding to stick with the project! This will not be happening again, so you are definitely safe to re-order, if you haven’t already.
I’ll keep this Friday note brief, but as of this e-mail, Mushroom and Anchovy is currently in FIFTH PLACE in the Launchpad contest! This is a very important bit of exposure for the book and is the reason I had to restart the campaign. Essentially, doing well in this competition means likelihood of publication is extremely high. Exciting!
We’re a week in to the campaign with a lot more work to do. Please continue to share the link with others, and prepare for the upcoming LIVE READING of chapter 1 over on my Facebook page at 8:30 PM AST next Wednesday night.
May all your adventures be fraught with wonder and just enough peril to keep them interesting,
K. M. Cooper
Hi Adventurers!
Sorry for the inconvenience here, but when I started my pre-order campaign, I wasn’t aware I had to enter a contest while the story was still in draft format. Unfortunately, this would have led to me missing out on several preorders, and risking the story not reaching its complete goal. As a result, I had to end the campaign. Anyone who has preordered has been refunded entirely. Please consider preordering again.
The good news is that I just re-started it! I was advised that doing this will raise my chances of meeting the 750 goal. This also gives me the chance to refine my dialogue with the book so that people seeing it for the first time will be more drawn to it.
I really do apologize for the inconvenience and hope you’ll give me a second chance to do this right! This will be the only time this happens, I assure you--and it’s great that I caught it so early on.
