Byron Gillan liked a review for The Darkest Places
A great read. Puts a sliver of fear and terror into your mind right off in chapter one. Disturbingly vivid imagery that pulls you in and keeps you wanting to know more about this sinister Priest. Instantly gives to idea of the first chapters character being a very small part of something awe-inspiring but terrifying. Very Lovecraftian. The second chapter twists you around into the adventures of Dr.Henry and ex-soldier James. I have to say I absolutely love these two. You have the smart-alicky Dr.Henry with his straight(ish) shooter partner James. It brings along some great back and forth dialogue between the two of them while they chase down ancient artifacts in the roaring 20's. It's very Indiana Jones and it just leaves you wanting more. Very exciting to read the third chapter. Again, a great read.
