Greetings Destiny-followers,
When the going gets tough, the tough go to Thailand. The top of the contest leader board is sure getting crowded. Despite this pressure, Destiny Imperfect has a hot date with a cold beer on a tropical island beach! But why run? Stay and fight, Destiny Imperfect, I hear you implore. Destiny Imperfect is no slacker, but Destiny Imperfect is also a book of its word. And Destiny Imperfect is to be ‘best man’ at a most excellent friend’s wedding. And, as mentioned, the prospect of cold beer is not at all unappealing.
So what am I going to do while I am temporarily internet-lite? Well I’m going to toss you all the keys to the hot rod and see where you can drive this baby! Friends, family - get them all on board (it’s a trans dimensional hot rod) and have them pre-order. If you’re following and haven’t pre-ordered yet, come on in, the water’s fine! It would be fantastic to see the book still hovering around the top 3 by the time I return; hungover, sunburned and jetlagged (not everything about tropical islands is glamorous). Follow the link and share the love!
Cheers,
Peter
I got my first pre-order! I know, I know, it’s only one but, damn it, it’s still exciting. With regards to work on the book: Chapter Two is about 25% done. The majority of my time has been spent working on the overall structure. Whilst writing the prologue, I realised that Ellie works really well as a reflection of Rishley. Both are, young, fast rising, stars in their opposing worlds. They are also inexperienced and unquestioning of many aspects of the societies in which they are immersed. With this in mind, whilst the focus of the story remains Rishley’s journey, I’ve expanded Ellie’s presence within the book. Her alternative perspective will, I think, offer more interesting insights into the world.
That’s it, for now. I’m still working hard and there should be more in the near future.
