Michael Haase sent an update for The Madness of Mr. Butler

Sorry to have seemingly spammed you all on this rainy Tuesday morning (in Northeast Ohio, at least, it is autumn now. Whereas last week it was winter and it was spring the week before that.)

I am writing to let you know that, although I am still waiting for production to begin, the book still exists. I have sent the first two chapters of the submitted manuscript for your reading pleasure. I will send more in the future. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Please reach out to me with any questions or if you are curious enough to read more. If you have preordered the book, I see no reason why you shouldn’t be able to read any bit of the draft that you wish. (Hint-hint, to those of you who haven’t preordered...)

The book is still planned to be released next February from what I know, but consider that date to be fluid. I am still working on the website and bonus reading material for all of you lovely backers.

And fellow authors: please reach out to me for any needs. We are a community, and if we can help each other out then that community only grows stronger.

This is me: mhaase75@gmail.com

Tweet at me if you’d like: @keepwritingmike

That is all for now.

Love to all,

-Michael

Michael Haase liked an update for Space Tripping

Psst... hey... hey you... yes you, my wonderful supporter of Space Tripping... you want to hear some really cool news?

Audible has officially signed a deal with my most benevolent publishing overlords at Inkshares. Space Tripping is going to be adapted into an audio book!  I know! Crazy, right?

But wait, the fun stuff doesn’t stop there. We’ve got a couple of pending events that you should check out. If you’re into Twitter, I will be taking over Young Entertainment Magazine’s official twitter account for two hours this Thursday March 2nd (4-6pm Eastern). I anticipate many a hijink to occur.

Sidebar: Is the singular of hijinks, "hijink"? You know, for the casual miscreant who doesn’t have time for a full days worth of mischief. They can sneak in a quick hijink during lunch hour. Anyway, where were we?

We’’re also working on some signing and launch events at bookstores in both the greater Chicago and Cincinnati areas.

Currently, we are booked (pun very much intended) at the Barnes & Noble in downtown Naperville, IL on March 18th and at City Lit Books in Chicago on March 31st.

I will also be getting interviewed on the Nick Digilio show (WGN Chicago) sometime in the near future. Be on the lookup for future updates.

You can always check out spacetrippingbook.com for additional details as they evolve.

    Thanks again, friends.

Michael Haase liked an update for Space Tripping

Hey there you wonderful human being,

We are less than a month away from the official release of Space Tripping (March 7th)! But you all, as original project backers, will be getting your copies any day now. You may notice something missing from those copies... my signature.

I would love to still sign each and every one of your copies, Obviously it will be no problem for those of you I’ll see in person in the near future. For everyone else, if you want to send me your copy, I would be more than happy to sign and return it. Feel free to email my "writer address" at ramblingwaffle@gmail.com (The backstory for that name is long and uninteresting... trust me, it’s not worth the time it takes to explain it). But I also understand that’s not the most convenient solution. So, to make up for it, I will be sending you all a little something later in the month.

Now, on to the fun stuff! We are working on some book launch events and interviews with various media outlets in the Chicago and Cincinnati areas. Be on the look out for another update with details. I’m going to be counting on you all to lend support whether it’s by showing up, tuning in, or forwarding on the info to your respective social media circles.

I can’t believe it’s about a year since I was bugging you all to pre-order a copy. And now we’re about to send this book out into the world.

Thank you all so very very much,

      Pat

        Hello, faithful readers and followers!

A year ago today I launched my Inkshares campaign and while it wasn’t successful, I did not give up working on the book. At the time I had barely two chapters. Today the current (and nearly final) draft is sitting at 99,000 words and twenty-three chapters.

I have revamped the Inkshares page, took down the old, outdated sample chapters and replaced them with the current prologue and first chapter. I’m really proud of this book and whether I decide to start another campaign or shop it elsewhere, I promise you it will see the light of day in some shape or form...sooner rather than later.

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the constant, unwavering support. I feel 200% more confident in the current, almost finished version of the book compared to the rough idea and collection of words I had a year ago and if not for the Nerdist Space Opera contest and Inkshares itself, I’m not sure I would have taken the leap did and finally put myself out there. It has changed my life (no seriously, I’m not even exaggerating).

        Love and all that stuff,

        J
