Action scenes are always fun, because I finally get to do some of the things I’ve wanted to do ever since watching or reading other action scenes in movies or books. I get to let loose, and since these "friends" are not from earth, the things they get to employ during battle just makes it that much more fun!
Yes, at this point, we finally get to see how otherworldly these strange characters are. This is where science fiction and fantasy collide. Super abilities verses spaceships! Weeeeee!

Now we spend some time with the one who is hunting the guilty party. And it’s a strange time. Is he also a messenger? This is a build-up to one of my favorite parts of the book. The couple futher explore their "freedom", but in doing so, they see what their freedom has cost others. Many many others.
And at the same time, there are some reactions to the device that is at the center of the world coming to a stop. All this immaturity in disguise. What will be the effects once they are sobered?

This next section is where things get a little creepy. The guilty party’s "friends" which, it’s obvious they aren’t quite human, express a dark side to them that just added to the strange silence of the world that is no longer comfortable. It’s becoming unnerving. I enjoyed writing the buildings and scenery in these moments. Since there aren’t a lot of people around, the scenery had to take up the slack by seeming to be alive and pleading for someone to make things right again.
Meanwhile, let’s not forget about the little boy who is playing with the device that has stopped the world!

New section up, and this part was definitely a neat exploration into the minds of the main couple who were entertaining the idea of having the world to themselves. The freedom. The possibilities. But this is a build up to the emergence of the one who has come to make things right. He appears, and delusions start to give way to reality.

And now we introduce the guilty party and his...unusual friends. The scenes inside the car with these characters were so fun to write because of their quirkiness. While the silence and emptiness of the majority of the story has an element of freedom to it, these characters definitely bring something different to the story.

So, by this point, one of the characters has stumbled upon a peculiar object, which I’m sure you readers figure it has something to do with the whole situation....but what? Meanwhile, our main couple is enjoying the....well.....eerie quiet by having some coffee.
