Erin S. Evan liked an update for I Am Waltz

Hello All My Friends:

Fun news! The talented Martin Kennedy on Instagram did a fun remix of my cover design this week and posted it to his account. The photo received over 1000 likes!

We are currently at 106 pre-orders, close to the quill goal, but far from the real goal of 750. I encourage everyone (yes you) to read the first chapter if you haven’t already. If you liked it PLEASE do your part to support this book and enable it to become a success!

Pre-Order it, recommend to your friends and family on Inkshares, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, in person, everywhere!

Thank you so much for all the support! 106 down, 644 to go! We can ONLY do it with YOUR help!

A really easy way to share is to Copy and Paste this into your Facebook (For Example)

Hi Friends,

You may be wondering what this group is that you’ve been added to.

Well, it is a project that I believe in whole-heartedly. A novel written by my very good friend and colleague Matthew Dho. The first chapter is available to read via the link below.

If you like what you read, please pre-order! If the book reaches a certain threshold of pre-orders, it will be published and given a wide physical release in bookstores. If many of you pre-order, I’m going to hold this over Matthew’s head so I can land a sweet role in the inevitable feature film adaptation.

Thank You!

Erin S. Evan liked an update for Destiny Imperfect

    Greeting Destiny-followers,

Back from Thailand where I did a lot more reading than writing. And what a pleasure that was. There really are some good books in Inkshares-land. I mentioned a few previously, but I’ll do it again given I can now link across. In no particular order:

Rune of the Apprentice by @Jamison Stone - I motored through this. A captivating story by an author who knows how to write an action scene! (you can order and read now)

An Unattractive Vampire by  @Jim McDoniel  -  Urban vampires meet the real thing! A wonderful interpretation of the modern vampire myth. (you can order and read now)

An Adventure with Dada by  @Michael Haase - I’m having a blast with this. Well worth getting. (in pre-order right now – throw Mike some support)

How to Get Run Over by a Truck by @Katie C. McKenna – this makes you laugh, cry and shake your head all at the same time. If you want to put your life in perspective, this is a must read. (you can order and read now)

And on to me! Destiny Imperfect is having a jolly good battle to remain in the top three. I could really use your support. To show how sci-fi influences the real world, I’ve included a picture from the recent wedding I went to. I’m the one with the Klingon Baldric (sash) – and no, it wasn’t a theme wedding … unfortunately! Don’t forget to pre-order and share the Destiny Imperfect love!

     Cheers,

    Peter

Erin S. Evan liked an update for The Last Faoii

      Hey, there!

Things are getting pretty exciting on the interwebs. I’ve started seeing The Last Faoii show up on Facebook pages and blogs over the last few days, even without my direct encouragement. It’s really exciting how many people have shown their love (and support) for this project.

We’re still sitting steadily at 68 pre-orders, so if you haven’t gotten your copy yet, please visit my page. I recently put up a new excerpt that’s generated a lot of feedback and shares so definitely check that out, too. Even if you’re not ready to purchase the book itself, yet, it’s a pretty awesome 3-minute read. :)

      Take care of yourself.

Erin S. Evan liked an update for California’s Lost Gold - Illustrated Poetry

        Good Monday morning poetry devotees!

I had a great time Saturday reading two of my poems at the Alameda County Fair poetry competition (in the Bay Area). The past two years I’ve had multiple poems accepted into the contest - so when poetry day at the fair rolls around I swallow my butterflies and take to the mic!

As you might expect, the poetry reading isn’t exactly the fair’s primary attraction. But I still find it slightly nerve-racking speaking in front of a (small) crowd. This year I read "Don’t Forget the Cow Roads," a poem about how the roads in Berkeley are really paved cow paths from days gone by, and "The Moon Poem," a romantic poem only to be read together by lovers under the light of the moon.

If you happen to be in the Bay Area and relish a good ole county fair - or if you’ve never been! - I highly recommend going. Lot’s of fun. All sorts of attractions, and the fair food, I must admit is delicious.

And you can see my poetry on display in the Plaza del Arte through July 4th!! My poems are hanging on walls "K" and "B". Many talented artists are exhibiting artwork, photography, poetry and much more - some of it is available for purchase.

Until next time, here’s a couple of pics! -Matt

Erin S. Evan liked an update for Seeking the Elephant

            Happy Father’s Day!

As we head into the final 35 days of funding for Seeking the Elephant, I will posting a series of videos. Some of this, I’ll be making, explain aspects of the universe, protagonists, antagonists, and narrative of Seeking the Elephant.

Today’s video discusses the meaning of the title, as well as Seeking the Elephant’s universe. Click here to watch, now!

The BEST videos coming up, however, will be the manufactured by the wonderful Athena Driscoll, who has gracefully agreed to reading various experts of the book for your reading enjoyment! Athena is the real life inspiration for The Dread Harvester, as well as being a very enigmatic artist herself, and the creator behind Leanans-Boon

Check her out on Facebook today, and don’t forget...

Pre-Order YOUR copy of Seeking the Elephant before its too late!

Erin S. Evan liked an update for Tantalus Depths

A lot of recent discussion in the Break the Bechdel Syndicate inspired me to choose this delicate topic for this week’s Friday vlog. Here I discuss my thoughts on writing female characters as a male author, and the state of female characters in general. I’m hopeful that this’ll generate some thoughtful (respectful) conversation, and serve as a marker on the road to writing better characters for us all.

I actually barely got into talking about Tantalus Depths at all this time, but that’s okay. These are topics that need discussed in their own right.

Don’t forget to keep supporting Tantalus Depths! We’re making steady headway, and are coming closer to that coveted halfway mark in the campaign!

Wednesday night I headed over too Berkeley for the Trekonomics signing event. Had a great time listening to people talk Trek and got to meet the author himself. Very inspiring to meet a very successful Inkshares author. Even got my copy Signed!
