Leo Valiquette liked an update for Henderson House

Dear Henderson House Supporters,

The Inkshares All Genre Contest ends in 30 days! Thanks to all of you, Henderson House is currently in first place (whoo-hoo) but a lot can happen between now and February 27th. I’m so grateful to have gotten this far and I’m asking for your help, one more time, to get across the finish line.

Would you be willing to email 2 or 3 friends and ask them to check out my Inkshares page? If everyone reached out to a couple of people, I think it might generate the engagement the book needs to stay on top. Can you think of an aunt, sister, co-worker, or cousin who might enjoy a "Spinster Romance meets 1940s Church Supper" kind of story? Social media shares are nice, but personal emails seem to be the most effective.

Here’s the link: https://www.inkshares.com/books/henderson-house

Of course, if you’re not someone who is comfortable sharing the link, no worries. Your support and encouragement to date has been stellar! If you are comfortable sharing, I would really appreciate it. Just think, in 30 days, with your help, this sweet historical fiction romance may have a real publishing deal. We are on the verge of a dream coming true. It’s so exciting!!

With love and gratitude,

Caren Simpson McVicker

Leo Valiquette liked an update for Lake

    Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for your support! I ended up making it to 8th place in the contest with close to 300 submissions. Not too bad! After thinking bout a few different aspects regarding my book, I have decided to pull The House on the Lake from the contest and from Inkshares. It’s still moving forward; I’m working on revisions now and then I’ll be at the editing stage. My hope is to publish in March or April.

As far as refunds for pre-orders, Inkshares assures me they are on their way. If you have any questions about The House on the Lake, please keep in touch by writing to me at hollyhillmangin@gmail.com

Best to you all, and again, thank you so much. I can’t wait to get this story out there!

    Holly

Leo Valiquette liked an update for Mushroom and Anchovy

      Greetings, adventurers!

It’s been awhile! I hope you’re all doing well despite the circumstances!

The last time I updated, I did have some news—however, that news was vague. As such, I still have nothing for you as the pandemic has strongly impacted California—where the Inkshares headquarters is located. Because of that, all of their projects have been pushed back, including this one. I haven’t checked in recently but have gotten updates from authors with books ahead of mine, so naturally my assumption is that Mushroom & Anchovy has also been pushed back.

As always, there is free content to read on my blog, The Practical Escapist, and I have resumed a fairly stacked livestream schedule on Twitch. I also mentioned with our last update that I hope to be moving this newsletter to my website. I have not yet started it, so I would love it if you’d sign up!

Keeping up with content creation has been deeply challenging as I’ve also been homeschooling our first born. It’s been challenging but a lot of fun as well. I’m not sharing much about those experiences beyond the odd Instagram post—but we’ve been working on a seed library, learning about foraging and local plants, and, of course, a lot of reading and writing.

That’s all from me for now. I hope this letter finds you well.

May your travels be fraught with wonder and just enough peril to keep them interesting,

      K. M. Cooper

Good morning! on what is a frosty cold and sharply sunny morning in my neck of the woods. (I will gladly take the chill if it means sun over cloud).

            Leo Valiquette recommended Infodemic
A relevant and timely techno-thriller that can only be pulled off by a writer who can combine an analytical insider's perspective with a flair for storytelling -- Stephen Harrison appears to have the right stuff in spades.
            The Editors
Most Infopendium editors are volunteers. But billionaires & governments are paying hired gun editors to change the content of the web encyclopedia. On the cusp of a global pandemic, the editors must race to defend the truth against disinformation.
Leo Valiquette recommended It Started Beneath a Sepia Sky
Another awesome premise ripped from the realities we face today, by just the author to pull it off. I look forward to this next book from Jacqui Castle.
It Started Beneath a Sepia Sky
In 2045, the forests are burning, the oceans are rising, corruption is growing, and a group of scientists take matters into their own hands. This is their confession
