Greetings Destiny-followers,
The final countdown has begun. And, as with all countdowns, there’s a feeling of expectation mingled with terror. Destiny-followers have responded magnificently over the past 24 hours and we are now in 4th overtaking Matthew Poats excellent Squids In.
So, where are we right now? Here’s the snapshot. There are 9 days left. We’re 4th . There are currently only 10 orders between us and 3rd. And I’d love your help getting there. $10 is all it takes! If the project doesn’t hit its goal, then it’s your money back. Hit the link and see if Destiny Imperfect is a project you can get behind. Also, if you’ve already pre-ordered (many thanks), it’d be great if you could share Destiny Imperfect with your friends and family - they could make all the differrence!
You have all been wonderful. Have a great day!
Cheers,
Peter
Just an FYI guys the Pre-Order campaign ends TODAY. Those of you interested in getting your hands on an authentic original copy should have their order’s in ASAP.
All, thank you for the support. We have 20 days left, and 195 copies to go. I was hoping for better results from the interview with The Hangin’ With Show, but I haven’t given up yet. If we can just get to within 20-30 copies of goal, my husband could buy enough copies to make this happen! So, if you’ve been following Frost but haven’t ordered your copy yet, I urge you to do so! I feel like this dream is slipping through my fingers, and I just can’t stand for that. I realize that I’m asking for a miracle, here, but the enormity of the situation is not going to stop me from asking for exactly that.
If you don’t have the cash to make a pre-order, please refer your friends who read to this project. For every successful referral from the Inkshares page, you can earn credits that could make it possible for you to purchase a copy of Frost without any actual cash leaving your bank account. We’re in the home stretch, and I need all the help I can get. I’m perfectly willing to exchange reviews and recommendations for pre-orders, too. If I had disposable income right now, I would be supporting my fellow authors by making mutual purchases of copies. Unfortunately, I’ve been unemployed since January, so I can only give you my time and my promotional efforts.
Please don’t let the past ten years of hard work be in vain--help me make my dream come true and I promise I’ll do the same for you in return!
Dear friends
I’m writing to you from beautiful but, currently, cold Chile. Unfortunately, I had to travel here responding to an unexpected family emergency, but even when dealing with difficult times, visiting my country and my family is a blessing.
We are four months away from the release of The Catcher’s Trap and Inkshares has officially started the marketing efforts to promote the book. The Catcher has been pitched to media outlets, a couple of interviews have been scheduled, and the release party is being planned. All exciting news. Even more exciting, the fact that this is only the beginning.
As for the first official The Catcher’s Trap event, if you are in the mood for meeting a hard-working new author, come and meet me at the CT HorrorFest on August 27th, at The Matrix Conference Center in Danbury, CT. I will be there sharing advance copies of the book and paving the road for an epic release on November 8th.
Finally, don’t forget I’m participating in the current Nerdist Contest as part of an amazing anthology with 14 other, talented and creative authors. Check out our project and get your copy of this collection of short stories.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Dear friends and followers,
Two days ago, we celebrated Canada; tomorrow, we celebrate the U.S.; and yesterday, we hit 375 orders, the exact halfway mark to the full-funding goal. It is perhaps of somewhat less national significance than the other two, but it is certainly of great significance to me. So I thank each and every one of you who have contributed so far. Thank you for bringing me as far as you have.
And we have news. As hinted in the previous update, we have an Interactive Fiction game to go with our novel: "Mustard, Music, and Murder", in which you may step into the shoes of Eric Peterkin to solve the murder of an elderly investment broker....
It is also July, which, quite aside from holidays of national importance, means it’s time to hand in a cheque to our friends at Chez Doris. I was unable to do so on the 1st, as the offices were closed for Canada Day, but I will be handing this over tomorrow morning:
My ongoing introduction of the various characters in "Murder at the Veterans’ Club" seems almost like an afterthought, now. Nevertheless, here is Jacob Bradshaw, the club secretary.
And that’s enough news for the moment, I think! Until next week, have fun, and keep reading!
Hey readers,
So, another quick update as there’s not a lot to say. I’m continuing to work on Chapter Three and can confirm that it’s the first of the chapters written from Ellie’s perspective. It starts to give some impression of what life is like for people who don’t participate in The Game.
I also think it’s fair to say that, with two weeks to go and 124 readers between The Game and third place in the Nerdist competition, it is unlikely to be published through that route. It was always a long shot and I still hold hope and will be working hard to reach the Quill target.
That’s it really. Thanks again for the support in whatever form, I hope you all (but particularly any Americans this reaches) have a wonderful 4th July!
