A lot of recent discussion in the Break the Bechdel Syndicate inspired me to choose this delicate topic for this week’s Friday vlog. Here I discuss my thoughts on writing female characters as a male author, and the state of female characters in general. I’m hopeful that this’ll generate some thoughtful (respectful) conversation, and serve as a marker on the road to writing better characters for us all.
I actually barely got into talking about Tantalus Depths at all this time, but that’s okay. These are topics that need discussed in their own right.
Don’t forget to keep supporting Tantalus Depths! We’re making steady headway, and are coming closer to that coveted halfway mark in the campaign!
Greetings and Apologies to those of you who have received this twice!!
First off I want to thank you for following me! Secondly, I wanted to let you know that my draft, The Damnation of Man, is nearing the end of the drafting phase and by the end of July will be taking pre-orders on Inkshares! The Damnation of Man is the first in the Lore of the Aos Sí Series so if you like the premise for Electric Messiah, hop on over and check it out. Publishing this book is something I’ve been working on for nearly five years now, and with your help, it can happen. In the meantime, I invite you to follow the book, give feedback, reviews, and recommendations where you see fit! I would greatly appreciate any support you lend to the campaign to publish this story, and will reciprocate in any way that I am able!
Here’s the link to the book:

The Damnation of Man is part one of the Lore of the Aos Sí Series. It is a tale of the untold past of mankind. Mankind was once a citizen of a mythical world where magic and science were two sides of the same coin. Where the destiny of our ancestors was forged by the righteousness of some men, and thwarted by the sins of others. It is the tale of humanity at its best and all time worst.
I’d love your support!
Cheers!
