James Rasile commented on Cape’s Side Bay
Just a quick update. Today I completed the first draft of the manuscript. It ended at 99,851 words, my goal was somewhere between 95,000 and 100,000 so I am happy to say I hit my target! I’ll spend most of my free time next week revising and editing. Look for new versions of the chapters that have already been uploaded soon and the possibility of a fourth shortly!  Again, thanks for following, I look forward to your feedback.

Yes. I imagine that there might exist a number of people in Liam’s position, who haven’t gone to a softcover purchase simply because of the added cost of making a new and separate purchase.

Also, if I find a couple of friends living near me who also want a book I’ve already pre-ordered, it would be nice to be able to upgrade to the top tier. That way, our books are sent in the same shipment and we can share the fees instead of each of us paying the full amount for three-or-more things that are all going to the same neighbourhood.

Hey @Liam, not yet, unfortunately.  If the book is still funding you can purchase another copy and we can refund your original purchase.

This is something we’ve been considering for a while. Anyone else think an ’upgrade’ feature would be useful?

        Hey friends!

I have something special to share with you...

We made a fan video for Blood Dawn by John Robin!!

I’m really excited about this book, and I really want to see it get to full funding: 750 pre-orders. This was not John’s idea at all - this was completely fan-driven. I asked around and a bunch of authors, plus one of John’s beta readers who has read the whole book, volunteered to make their own videos talking about why they’re excited for Blood Dawn. Then Alex and I cut it into a sweet little promo video!

        Watch it here!

This is what happens when people are seriously excited about a book. :)

Aaand... if you decide to pre-order this book, and you want to pledge loyalty to House Vastaron or the dragon Azzavaston for the game of Blood Dawn Risk, be sure to let me and/or John know!! You can send me an email or reply to John’s thank-you email after you order.

        Thanks!

Okay, I’m calm now. Calmer. I know I should be more reserved, I’ve done this before but:

Keep your eye on your email inbox for the official download email from Inkshares.

More information coming about the timetable for you all receiving your physical copies.

Tweet me IMMEDIATELY or post up comments here on Inkshares as you have thoughts about the book. Feed the ever-expanding cosmos that is my insecurity. I’m going to need a lot of internet hugs to get through this.

I mean this in the creepiest of ways: I love you.
