Happy Friday everyone!
Status Report: 135 Unique Readers and still in 5th place! We are 72 pre-orders from making Quill. Not bad. We’ve got a month and a half left in the contest, but getting up into the Top 3 is going to be tough! My network is pretty dry. I’ve got a few things going in the next few weeks that might help. You could help by leaving a review or recommending the book on Inkshares!
I’ve got a booth at the Collingswood Book Festival in NJ on October 1st. If you are in the area, check it out! There are several cool things that I’m giving away there. I’ve got paper bookmarks, handmade key bookmarks, and booklets with the first chapter printed in them. I won’t be there myself, unfortunately. I have to work that day, but I couldn’t let the opportunity pass. So, the leader of my unofficial fan club, my best friend, and soul-sister, will be running it. She’s been with this book since the first incarnation of it ten years ago. So, other than me, she knows the most about the characters and the world.
I’ve also got an article in the Geekadelphia posting any day now.
I wrote a personal blog post that isn’t so much geared towards storytelling as it is motivational. Nothing Comes Easy also includes this amazing motivational video I found while tumbling down a Youtube Hole. If anything, click the link to see that video it is long but so worth it.
Character Spotlight:
Ishep Darshan was a Water Mage in the Adrid army during the rule of Dante Vanguard. He was friends with both Dante and Yarin D’mor. He was also in love with Rebecca Vanguard, Saran’s mother. He stayed through the coop that gave Yarin the throne, but when Rebecca died, he broke away from the kingdom and founded the rebellion that Saran, Rowe, and Keleir secretly fight in.
Hello everyone! It’s been nearly two weeks since I’ve sent you and update and for that I’m sorry. I’m here to remedy this but in the interest of those of you who are future sensitive, MINOR SPOILER ALERT AHEAD!
Chapter Five has turned out to be a bit of a bugabear which is hilarious, because it involves a fight with a bugabear. Which is the problem. Apparently, I’m very much out of practice in writing a fight scene and sadly I’ve hinged the second quarter of the novel on what happens in the fight so I REALLY need to nail this scene. I think I’ve got the framework finished and now just need to add the paint that is descriptors around the nouns and verbs I’ve already written. The plan is to post Chapter Five next week and get back to weekly updates.
SPOILERS AVERTED! So, to wrap things up, spoiler free. Chapter Five should be going up next week. Should be back to Weekly updates after that. I’m finding the task of marketing this project while trying to write the book is extremely difficult and maybe ill-advised but I will soldier on as best I can. If you like what you’ve read, please comment and share the project on all of the social medias! The more we get the word out, the more I can focus on the writing and less on the marketing. Either way, thank you all for your support!

Hello Knightmares!
We have 7 days left in the campaign, and we’re sitting pretty at 260 orders. If you’re still looking to buy a book, grab one now while I’m still offering free stuff!
In the meantime, check out my next book, VEXED, that is still in a draft phase. I am going to take my time with this one, but check it out as I start to ramp up content, post excerpts, and put together a trailer in the coming months. If you liked The Knightmares, VEXED will blow you away.

In the meantime, please take a look at Mothering- The Game! It has under a week left and is SOOOOO close to hitting its campaign goal! It deserves to get published!
