Thank you for all the support with Night Terrors! I have been working hard on Book 2 (Currently Untitled), but also promoting Night Terrors hard! So help me out by sharing the book on whatever socially media you can and let's make this story get out!
My dear Readerly Friends:
Fist, and most important: I hope you are looking forward to a peaceful and productive New Year.
Second and most exciting: We are very close! As of the moment I write this update, we need only 97 pre-orders to get to publication. I would love for the book to come out during 2016, twenty years after Miriam's House first opened its doors to Washington, DC's homeless women with AIDS.
So my goal is to get those 97 orders by the end of January. How?
1. The largest clinic in Washington, DC (Whitman-Walker Health) is holding a book event for me on January 19.
2. Whoever pre-orders during January 2016 will receive this mug (shipped when the book is published, one mug per order):

3. Tell your friends! Share this update on facebook and twitter and by email.
4. You have already pre-ordered, but maybe you'd like an excuse to get this lovely mug ... or make it a gift package (mug and book) to a family member, friend or colleague. In either case, pre-order another copy!
As always, thank you.
Carol
Greetings friends and Journey supporters! Here is the latest weekly update.
My national radio tour is starting to pick up steam. As we get closer to and into the presidential primary season, interest in my topic(s) will increase along with more requests from media outlets to interview me (or so I'm told).
I just booked the nationally syndicated Josh Tolley Show. (click here) It will be live on Wednesday, Jan 6 at 11:15 am - my guest segment will run approximately 30 minutes.
On Friday Jan 8, I will record a session for a local Boston radio station [WNTN] that will air on a future Saturday, closer to the NH primary. When I know the air date / time, I'll post that info.
Please consider posting my upcoming events, along with links to http://www.secretagentman.org on your social media platforms. (archived links to my previous radio interviews are at the bottom of the home page)
In order to fully leverage these media opportunities, it would be great if I had a lot of informative, positive reviews on Amazon - but despite having sold over 760 copies to date, I only have three paltry reviews (thank you again Dave Barrett - Click Here). My Christmas wish (for reviews) didn't come true, so now it's a New Year's wish.
I have no idea how many of you have been able to find the time to read the book yet, but if you have, PLEASE consider taking a few minutes to log into Amazon and giving the book some Stars and a few kind words. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to have at least 25 reviews (and preferably 100+) on Amazon. That IS what drives Amazon sales!
Click Here for the Amazon page to review Journey.
Before reviewing, it is also important to read this brief document online (Click here). It shows that many of the stories in Journey / SecretAgentMan come from my own Real-Life method-writing escapades. This is the hook that separates my work from anything else ever written and is the key to fully understanding the work.
The recent success at the Salem, NH Barnes & Noble has led to the book being picked up at a few more of their stores in my region. I hope to keep on working that angle, with the goal of getting national distribution in all or most of their locations. This won't be easy and will depend on a combination of lots of online (positive) reviews, media attention and some social-media viral activity, in which YOU are they key to generating.
If you haven't connected with me on social media yet, here are my accounts:

I'm working as hard as I can, but you peeps are as (or even more) important in this effort! If my core supporters don't participate in helping me generate interest in a book from an unknown writer with a startup publisher, then (almost) all hope is lost.
Here's hoping for a happy and healthy New Year for all of you, your family and loved ones. May all Your dreams come true! (even if mine do not)

Hello everyone!
It's been awhile since my last update, but I just wanted to throw a few items of interest out there.
First, I added a new book trailer earlier this week to the Inkshares page. I'm pretty happy with it, so please check it out if you haven't already.
I gained a few more orders this past week from some generous people, which I greatly appreciate, as always. You guys make this crazy ride worthwhile for me and energize me every time I see enthusiasm for my writing.
After hemming and hawing over the idea, I decided to jump on the raffle bandwagon. I'm not going to start drawing names until I get some of my wares in the mail that I plan to raffle, though. When those arrive, I will raffle items at every 10 readers. Each reader will have their name in the drawing. Anyone who ordered the eBook (Inhabitant level) will get one entry. Anyone who ordered the eBook & hard copy (Dreamer level) will get two entries. Anyone who ordered multiple copies (Narcoleptic level) will get as many entries as the number of books they ordered. No one can win more than one prize, though, so multiple entries just increases your chances of winning (which is still a victory!). So, by that estimation, I owe you 4 raffle drawings at this moment.
Here's the weirdest item I wanted to discuss. I had a vivid dream last night that actually inspired a new character (actually even a group) and plot line for the novel. I am currently brainstorming on how to integrate them, and I have a few ideas of how to do so. I'm really excited about this! It's one of those stranger-than-fiction scenarios that was hard to ignore: An idea via a dream for a dream-based novel. Hmm. It goes to show that my brain never takes a rest from writing.
I hope your miscellaneous holidays were wonderful, and you're enjoying your first two days of 2016.
Good night, and happy dreaming!
Hey folks,
I should've put out this update a long long time ago. Now that I had officially missed Christmas, New Year and even my birthday put out this update, I feel like I'm just making excuses to not put any updates at this point. Nw year resolution #1: do reader updates more frequently.
We officially have 66 preorders now! That's the equivalent of 314 cups of Starbucks coffee! Thanks to all the people that had came here and bought my book, I cannot express my gratitude enough. Only 6 months ago, I had been a nobody hack writer that no one knows.
I now have quickly become a name in community and met (digitally) many great writers such as John Robin, J.F. Dubeau, Paul Inman, Cara Weston (the lady who made Review-a-thon possible), Thomas Arnold, and many more. They're the pillars of the community and had been here to help others to make their dreams come true.
If any of the people I had mentioned above happened to be reading this, happy new year and keep on keeping on. It's because of this community that I gained confidence in my writing, started a YouTube channel and had one of the best years in my life.
The New Year had came and went, but when I reflected on the things I had done last year, I saw the ripples that I had metaphorically made. I wouldn't brag, but I saw beyond my book. I had become a contributor to John Robin's blog, and had done a lot of things beyond just typing words. I never regretted a single moment of last year, and I hope that things get better from here on out. Let's see how far my ambitions can take me.
Sincerely,
Yicheng Liu
