    Hi readers!

Some days, well, the writing just doesn’t flow.

You know what you need to do. You know where you’re headed. You know that nothing should stop you. But for whatever reason, your brain just says no.

But that’s ok! You still dedicate the time to writing, you still push yourself, and if your brain still says no, then you focus your energy elsewhere for the day. Today is one of those days.

So let’s pay it forward a bit, shall we? The NERDIST SPACE OPERA CONTEST is in full swing at Inkshares, so if you haven’t checked out all the amazing new talent this contest has attracted, I suggest you do so. I have already overspent on several new books, and I thought I’d take the time to throw a few suggestions your way.

    Here’s a few I’ve already backed:

    Infinity Mind
To Live and Die in Avalon
    Champions of the Third Planet
    Rogue
    Artum: Immortal Legacy
    Eden M51
    Lucky
    They Are The Last
    The Life Interstellar

"Holy smokes, Tony! That’s a lot of books! ...You may have a problem."
You’re right. I may be turning into a book hoarder. Nevertheless, I encourage you to check out these fine authors and see if any of their projects tickle your fancy.

Here are a few more I have not personally backed (I’m on a budget and currently out of Inkshares credits), but I would also like to recommend for your consideration:

    The Madness of Mr. Butler
    Dangerous Thoughts
    The Guardians: The Veiled Hope
    Ace Tucker, Space Trucker
    The Traveller’s Cup
    Fortunes of the Space Sloth
    The Revenant
    Piperverse

Now, back to Dax for a minute. The writing has steadily and delightfully continued (today being the exception). On days like this, one of the ways I recharge my batteries is taking a look back at some of the earlier chapters. I’ve mentioned before that I don’t want to reveal the whole story before the book comes out, especially with chapters that still require editing. HOWEVER... sometimes I read something, get overly excited, and say "What the heck? Why not?"

So I’ve uploaded THREE NEW CHAPTERS of Dax goodness. You’ve seen the intro, you’ve seen the comedy, and you’ve met a few characters up to this point. It only makes sense you should at least see them start to meet each other, and maybe get into some hair-raising action, yes?

    Here are the links. Enjoy!

I’m more on the side of not mentioning typos during campaigning. I know they bother some people a lot, and I bet some authors are super-grateful to receive messages telling them what needs to be fixed, but I sure wasn’t one of them.

Nothing posted on Inkshares as a draft or as a currently funding book needs to be perfect. It would be pretty weird if excerpts were perfect, considering we all know they haven’t been professionally edited yet. You’re going to find a lot, A LOT of typos. You could message every author about every one you come across, but once our books are successfully funded, we will be getting professional editing from Inkshares.

I’m sure not everyone will agree, and that’s okay. I just think campaigning is stressful enough already.

(I guess if I knew the person first, I wouldn’t mind getting a message about a typo. If I had already formed some sort of positive, friendly relationship with them. Make friends first, point out errors later!)

Please end my torture now !

Dear followers and backers.  We are missing 38 pre order... that’s right only 38.  If you haven’t got your copy yet please do so, or if you want to order another one you are welcome to do so :)

There is some very interesting project in the pipeline for Lies and Deception but I cannot talk about it now.

Once again thank you for your support,

          Hey everyone,

There’s been a bit of a break between updates, but things are sort of at a point where weekly updates don’t really make sense anymore. So from now on they’ll be going out when there’s actually something to update you all about.

This is one of those times.

Some of you may have noticed that there’s a new cover. If not, well, there’s a new cover.

Since Ghosts is being published under Quill, cover design isn’t something that’s......covered.

To use my existing concept, I would have had to probably re-draw/paint the whole thing from scratch since it was just a cobbled together, photoshop thing. I wasn’t wholly confident in my ability to produce something publishable in that style, so I decided to try out some simpler designs.

What I’ve settled on is something that’s a bit more traditional, and feels like a more polished version of the very first cover I ever did for Ghosts. I’m pretty happy with it and I hope you all like it as well.

When I finished the cover I was in a bit of a creative groove, and in a move that’s part ’getting ahead of myself’, and part ’being prepared’ I did up some covers for the 2 sequels to Ghosts.

          Here’s all three together:

What’s a Kylgor? Why does it have a shadow? And what’s in that shadow?

You’ll just have to wait until later in the year to find out...

Oh! I almost forgot... Writing is chugging along. Think of me like a duck on the water: Calm on the surface. Furiously flapping my feet at a keyboard beneath it.

I will leave you with that image.

          Until next time...
