Friends and Family,

The time has come.

THE E-COPY BOOK OF NOT AFRAID OF THE FALL IS HERE!

The hard copies still won’t be ready until July 11th but we decided to set the E-books free ahead of the publication date so we can build some more hype around the launch! After all, you guys have been waiting long enough...

If you ordered a copy, you will receive the E-book download in your email around noon!

This is the important part... I want to hear from you! If you received the book, please reach out to me. If you plan on reading it, please reach out to me. If you don’t, still reach out to me! I want to thank each and everyone one of you again personally for making this happen and would love to answer any questions about the book!

I have been working on this project for two years now and as you can imagine, I am both excited and nervous to hear what you think. More than anything, I am excited you will HAVE the book that I promised you!

One last thing - Reviews are a large part of how this industry works and quite frankly, can make or break how a book does. Please, please, please take a few minutes to review the book on:

Dave Barrett liked an update for Storm of Fury

    Hello again,

I’m going to try and get monthly updates out to you guys, but in truth there still isn’t much to report. No news is good news, right? Right. Regardless, if what I’ve been hearing is correct, then production of Storm of Fury should begin sometime soon*. I’d like to reach out and say a quick thanks to everyone that has stuck with me so far.

Thank you. Your patience and support is appreciated more than you know, and I will do everything in my power to ensure that you get this awesome book you helped fund. It will happen, I promise.

    Regards,

    Andrew Wood

      Good morning, Readers and Followers!

Just a quick update to let you all know that Draft #3 came back from my editor with very positive feedback! Okay, I’ll admit I might have bribed her with donuts...but she’s excellent at her job and I am excited to say that the next steps of publishing are quickly approaching!

Cross your fingers and think some good vibes in the general direction of my novel over the next few weeks. I’ll be back with another update as soon as I know more details!

Dave Barrett liked an update for The Astronaut Instruction Manual

          IT IS OFFICIAL:
’THE AIM’ TV SERIES OPTION CONTRACT SIGNED SEALED & DELIVERED
The long-form contract for The Astronaut Instruction Manual tv series option by Legendary Entertainment (ie the studio behind such massive blockbuster films as Pacific Rim, The Dark Knight, Godzilla, Superman vs Batman, and Jurassic World) has been signed!

ENORMOUS THANKS to the Team who made this happen:
-Howie Sanders at United Talent Agency,
          -Matt Tolmach & Tolmach Productions,
          -the indispensable Brooklyn Weaver,
-my amazing lawyer Howard Abramson at Behr & Abramson,
-and most of all Inkshares and Adam Gomolin (!!!) who from Day One believed in The Astronaut Instruction Manual.

What happens next? As I understand there will be an announcement upcoming of the The Astronaut Instruction Manual series’ showrunner (television writer) about whom I’m sworn to secrecy.

(However, to "see what’s next" just do some networking and keep a lookout for someone worthy of adding daredevil to their credit. Got it?)

Stay tuned, the best is yet to come,
          Mike Mongo

Dave Barrett liked an update for The Madness of Mr. Butler

            Short update, I promise...

In all honesty, it’s been a rough couple of weeks. We suffered a few terrible events in our family that led up to a great loss. I’m not going into great detail here, since this is a personal matter, but I felt you all deserved a good reason for why not much has happened over the past month.

BUT! There are good things afoot!

            1) I am a part of an arranged group of Inkshares authors, and we are all working together in order to polish our stories and make them the best they can be for when they arrive in your hands in 2018! I will give more details when I have them and when I am in a greater swing of things. But I assure you, this is a big deal.

            2) I am still writing other things, and I want to share them with you! I have started a website called Tall Tales Told (click here: talltalestold.com) and it is a blog of sorts. I wanted to get an author page going, and that might be a part of things in the future, but I noticed something about most author pages: there’s no writing. Tall Tales Told is laced with what I’m calling "embellished nonfiction." I am telling tales from throughout my life, but with necessary embellishments, allowing for the fact that my memory of events might not be 100% accurate. I see these tales as something along the lines of David Sedaris in terms of delivery. Also, there is poetry! And it is illustrated by the amazing Phil Rood! (Please check out philrood.com, because this man is incredible and you should be buying his work.)

Tall Tales Told is also on Facebook and Twitter, and I plan on releasing all things Mr. Butler on this website as well. I am putting it all up there for your enjoyment, and for free. I hope you like it. Thank you for checking it out.

That’s all for now. There’s much more, of course, but my brain and heart are a bit frazzled by this insane month of May.

Thank you all for the support. I love you all.

            -Michael.

Dave Barrett liked an update for A God in the Shed

Whoa... what a trip it’s been.

Before I get into that though, let me give you some good news. Better news than whatever I’ll be prattling on about.

So, have you pre-ordered A God in the Shed from Inkshares? You did? You’re awesome. In fact, you might have already received an email notification that your physical copy has shipped (if you ordered a physical copy that is. And you should have, because ooooh boy. Such lovely books. So, so lovely.). But let’s say you’re not into this ’waiting’ thing? What if you want to start digging into this tale of horror in a small down over this very coming weekend?

Well, you can. By the end of the day, the eBook version of A God in the Shed will be available to download from the site. .mobi and .epub will be available, as always. I sincerely hope you enjoy the book and that if you do, you’ll let me know. Review it on Amazon, on Goodreads. Send me a Tweet @jfdubeau. I want to hear from you guys.

              You’re my very favourite readers.

Which is why I put myself through Hell in order to sign all your copies of A God in the Shed. As promised, I flew myself to San Francisco on a plane leaving Montreal at 5:30AM, signed a bunch of copies as they were being packaged and shipped by the amazing Elena Stofle (with an assist from the dedicated Avalon Radys). Hung out and had dinner with Adam and then, at 11:30PM on the same day, was on a plane back to Montreal.

When I say I’d go to the ends of the Earth for my readers, I do not kid around.

Now please, enjoy the book. We’ve come this far, it’d be ashamed if you didn’t.

              JF

Such a pretty book... (note: Inkshares fed me cheese. They have won my heart once more)
