Thank you Ricardo, you have no idea how much this means to me. THIS is what I need. I write like a huge verbal emission, the kind you get from ingesting beans. I barely remember writing the 300 pages. This kind of honesty is what makes me know I’ve much more to do. You know when you finish something and friends and family read it? Yeah, the crit from them is always the same: "It’s great. Wow, that’s great. Can’t believe how great that is...now leave me alone." I need direction like this. Thank you.

You and Pete Ryan  imparted the same wisdom to me, "Tighten it up." First order of business, (after I get done with jumping up and down). I have work to do.  Thank you one more time.

    Great conversation!

I’ve been using both DM’s and comments on excerpts. As others have noted, many of my comments such as "this piece could use re-wording" have gone into DMs, but not all (it is very convenient to highlight a section and add a comment). The general rule of thumb I have applied (not always consistently) is:

    1. Positive comments on excerpts, regardless of status of the book.
    2. Constructive criticism only on draft books (Unless the author of a funding book has done something to indicate they are looking for constructive feedback).
    3. Moderate the feedback I give based on the author (e.g. hard edits only for authors who have told me they want that).

    I’ll be checking out scribophile.

Also - I’m still welcoming all feedback on my excerpts :)

60 Reader  Milestone | 24 Orders (can we make it an even 25?)

      Hello the The Company,

Well, my Inkshares graphs in the dashboard show I’m way behind on my goal. That’s cool. I’m mostly here to get the word out about my book and hopefully pick up a few legit fans along the way (which I have!!).

I case you didn’t know, as a Pre-order Bonus, I’m currently offering a "Lost Chapter" of my novel, which got cut during a re-draft.  I’m only passing this PDF out for a limited time, so if you are new to writing and want to learn a bit what it’s like to write a whole chapter then delete it, be my guest and place a pre-order and I’ll email you the "Lost Chapter" as a free gift.

If you’ve already pre-ordered and would like a copy, I’d be glad to send it over to you.  Just let me know. (Don’t want to spam everyone).

I’m going to plan another push to get readers onto the site. Got a few ideas in mind. Just need time. Got hit with a few Government audits at work and hasn’t been fun.

      Ok, that’s enough about me...

Why the heck isn’t Mission 51 funded yet? Come on you guys, I’m super excited about this book! I want to read it bad!  If you have credits, give this one a shot!  It was recently selected for a Syndicate, so I know I’m not the only one. Here’s what I had to say about it:

Mission 51 opens with a child’s dream of being a hero and exploring outer space. Now an adult, Mat, is tasked to successfully complete a journey across the vastness of space where so many others have failed before him. With the help of his rag-tag crew and a slick, 5D traveling space ship—a ship that could’ve well been pulled straight from Flight of the Navigator—Mat must reach Earth’s distant sister planet. As the plot thickens and the twists unfurl, the reader will be taken down a road reminiscent of The Twilight Zone.

      Pre-order Mission 51 Now!

      That is all.

      Nauselbaum,

      -M.R.R.-

To my zombie horde: I’m not sure why but we’ve been stalled out at 28 for a while, which is quite disheartening to say the least and that’s with offering a $50 gift card. with 70 days left, I’ve decided to up the ante with a different item to giveaway.  drum roll please.........
yes, for every time we hit the 25 order mark, I will raffle off a Kindle Fire HD. Now how’s that for an incentive? As always, the rules for entries are as such...(Oh, and the number of entries has went up as well!)

        Zombies (E-book) = 5 entries!

        Brain-Eaters (Paperback) = 10 entries!

Super Horde (Super Reader) = 20 entries!

Referring friends to order my book will grant you more entries at whichever tier the ordered, just remind them to drop your name so you can get entries!

I truly want to get Rob the Zombie into Quill so  why not go for broke? If I have to giveaway 10 Kindle Fire HD’s in the process, then it’s well worth it! So, like and share this with your followers, family, friends and help back this one!

        Wado!

Well, I might have lost the 72 ounce steak eating challenge, but I did receive another syndicate pick! That’s the Idiosyncraticate Syndicate, and those guys are awesome! We have a lot of ground to cover before September to reach the full publishing goal of 750, and this is exactly the push we need. I’ve also decided that every 50 orders will see the drawing for another print from The Sleeping Man art, and when we hit 300 I will eat a python:

The only bad part about this roadtrip is I lost Emma in Texas because she refused to take her state issued gun.

Please share this book and pre-order so I can afford bail for Emma, it’s getting to her. I can see it in her eyes.

          Sweet Dreams,

          Stephen
