Well this date snuck up on me - today is the day that funding for my book ends.  I’m well short of even the Quill goal, so I guess this is it.  I just wanted to send out a quick note to thank everyone for their interest and support.

I originally put East of Breaking on the site as part of the Sword and Laser contest.  I wasn’t able to devote as much time or energy into generating interest as I would have liked.  It was fun to be a part of that contest and I’ve learned a lot (like the fact that self-promotion isn’t one of my strong suits).

I’m currently working on a second book, set in the same world as East of Breaking though not strictly a sequel.  It’s been slow going and I’ve thrown out more than I’ve kept, but when it’s done I think it will be great.  I’ll continue to attempt to place EoB with an agent as I come across those I think would be a good fit and I will provide any exciting updates on this front as I receive them.  I’m not sure what happens after the funding fails (other than you all getting refunds), but perhaps if you’ve followed me on the site (not just followed the book), we’ll stay in touch.
