Chapter 2 is now UP! YAY!

Dr. Anita Baxter awakes to find that human beings long abandoned Earth after it was razed by alien terrorists and Penny’s bedside manner is not exactly helping matters much. Imagine waking up on a spaceship to find that everything and everyone you ever knew no longer existed. Yeah, she doesn’t take it very well...

Oh, and they also almost get blown to smithereens by the bad guys...because that’s what bad guys do. I read that in a book somewhere.

    Hey hey everyone!

So I made a nice new pitch video for the project page where you get to see me speaking enthusiastically (and somewhat awkwardly) about this little book that I love so much. There’s even a post-credits zinger at the end (No, Sam Jackson doesn’t walk on camera and ask me to join a superhero team...yet). Please check that out and if you haven’t already, pre-order, won’t you? I will love you forever and not in an icky and inappropriate way.

I’m also very close to finishing some freebies to send out to all those who pre-order. Unfortunately, they are not retro-future ray guns, as the government has a problem with people mailing out portable atomic weapons...who knew? But, more on what the freebies are once I get ’em finished. Soon soon soon.

Thanks again for the support! Pre-order! Share! Rinse! Repeat!

Love (in a completely platonic way),

    Jason

      Hello readers!

My book and I are being featured on thewarblerbooks.com! I encourage you all to check that out. Elan (the Warbler himself) had some very nice things to say about the book and I’m humbled to be featured alongside some other great entrants in the current Nerdist contest.

I’m also going to be making a new pitch video so you can all see my smiling face talking enthusiastically about this book that I’m having a blast writing. On that note, the writing is going wonderfully, I’m revising and editing the heck out of the first half of the book and hope to have another sample chapter up very soon.

Finally, for those of you on the fence that haven’t pre-ordered yet, perhaps reading some of my other work will help alleviate that trepidation? I have three short stories up on wattapd.com, so check those out. My profile is at wattpad.com/AtomicBoyWonder.

Thanks for the support! Stay tuned for more fun stuff coming very soon!

Just stumbled upon Jason Chestnut's book and immediately, gladly, got tangled up in its web! If the amazing cover art and catchy title aren't enough to ensare your interest, consider the unique premise and atmosphere, the strong characters, the author's skill at slinging words... Everything I've found so far in "To Live and Die in Avalon" has been worth the time it trapped me. Can't wait to extend my stay in Chestnut's world when the final book finally arrives on my doorstep.

Mr. Chestnut's first chapter succeeds in combining two genres which I've always had a (perhaps unsavory) love for - 60's spy movies and classic science fiction serials.  With imagery and characterization absolutely dripping with the sleek and sexy 60's style blended so well with action and aliens that would easily fit into a Buck Roger's adventure, To Live and Die in Avalon is such a joy to read that I can't wait for more.

To Live and Die in Avalon immediately draws the reader in with rich detail while remaining story focused. The technology and creatures are explained as part of the action which shows great attention to the writing. This is a great update on a classic theme, and I look forward to reading more.
