CB Baker liked an update for The Remains Of Civilization

Greetings everyone!

It’s been a while and I have some news for you guys.

First of all, I’m not dead and are just trying to juggle work and daily life alongside my goal of someday getting this book out there. Yes, I’m still working on making the book better and have officially called the first draft to an end.

Thus far, due to the fact that I no longer have to deal with the stress known as crowdfunding, I had got my stuff together and started the second draft and started to rewrite the story so that it make sense and sound less like it written with the ’visionary’ ideals of an eight-year-old ("Action! Explosion! Globetrotting! Boom!").

Though the overall plot and ending remained unchanged, the journey starting from chapter 4 onwards are going to radically different from the first draft as many unneccessary characters and shoddy scenes are going to be cut; and bad puns are no exceptions either.

I plan to finish draft two within the next two months and decide on whether to submit it to the publishing companies that I had spent hours reasearching or publish it myself. So, with the help of a clear goal in mind and a much more detailed outline this time around, I shall give self-doubt and procrastination the finger.

Until then,

Yicheng Liu.

CB Baker liked an update for Disintegration

Hello, dear supporters and followers alike.

Disintegration is right on the brink of 400 orders. When last I asked for support, the response was immediate and wonderful. It would be great to meet, and surpass, the 400-copy milestone. There’s a unique, original artwork in it for the person who places the order!

I’ve got 45 days left to garner the additional 350 orders, to obtain full-service publishing. Please help me make that dream a reality. Share my campaign with people you know are interested in a gripping, gritty science fiction epic that is chock full of relevant social commentary, intense action and credible interactions. It’s not turgid sci-fi, but it’s not soft! No flying hotels (sorry, Enterprise-D), no technobabble, no Deus ex machina, no unintentionally hammy dialogue ... frankly, no bullshit.

Disintegration is the real deal, folks. This is not a purely commercial enterprise; it’s a labor of love. I am not churning out a story just to sell it; I am crafting what I hope will be received as an intricate, well-crafted masterwork that can be endlessly mined for more stories across the variety of media.

I know there is a plethora of options out there. I know that there is a lot of chaff out there, too, but there are some great stories just waiting to be told. A lot of those great stories are vying for publication on this very site. Mine is one of them.

Be the reason that Disintegration gets told. Pre-order your copy today.

CB Baker sent an update for Vanish, book one of a series.

      Hello Vanishians,

Sorry I haven’t been updating my progress recently. I’ve just moved back to the UK and my whole life has momentarily turned upside-down.

Slowly, but surely, my hectic life has begun to settle. It’s taken me a while to find the time to do some writing/planning but finally, I can begin to get into the swing of things again.

I’m very excited to say that I have added lots of lovely new chapter ideas and twists in my book structure and I can’t wait till you can all read them!

Once my structure has been organised, I’ll be able to continue on with writing my book and hopefully I’ll send some more chapters for you all to read.

Have a wonderful day, and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like feedback on your work. I’d love to help and trade feedback!

      Until next time,

      - Chloe
