A virus wiped out every male on Earth, leaving the females to carry on alone. Now, five centuries later, the genome is breaking down and the only hope may lie in something long lost.

Here’s a little window into the writing room in my mind...

When I envision a scene, I think of my novel as a comic book. I want to tell my story in key scenes, with a dramatic image in mind, with succinct text that you could fit into a thought or word balloon. I picture landscape views to set the scene, middle distance views to tell the story, and close/ups of emotional faces or depicting an action. I try to use real-life conversational language that is true to the character.

So there you go. Some  of the gears in my brain-box.

Peace!

Ferd.  :-)

It’s the year 2147: a time of enduring peace on Earth. The Last War ended half a century ago. We can cure most ills, the air is pure, and teleportation is how we get around. Sounds great, right? So why does everyone suddenly want to kill Joel Byram?

Making good use of my few days off, I’m on a freakin’ roll!

I uploaded "Abduction" yesterday and promised to follow that chapter with one called "Roswell Revisited." But I realized I needed a bridge chapter, so I started AND finished it today! It is a short chapter, but it serves the purpose. It is called "Dream Job" and I will upload it in a minute.

In "Dream Job" we see the further development a key character, Dr. William Henry, before his transformation. We also see the completion of the short story-arc of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Take a bow, Ike! ***cheers***applause***

Now to start work on "Roswell Revisited!"

    Peace!

Fernando Crôtte liked an update for Ageless

      I just realized...

ONE MONTH from today is the publication day for Ageless!

So I thought I would point out this review of #AgelessbyPaulInman was left on the Goodreads page a few days ago. Thought you might want to know what someone thinks...full disclosure: I don’t know this person, but I’m glad she enjoyed the book! I’ve added the link at the bottom, but read it below if you prefer.

"And the crowd goes wild! Ageless is an Inkshares production, meaning that hundreds of people voted this book into existence. And with good reason, the hook is irresistible to we ephemeral folk who shuffle off our mortal coil. (Or should I go with ’out, out brief candle,’ even Shakespeare knew mortality was a dead end.)

Aless been on the run for her whole life, living in the shadows, from the day she was liberated from an underground lab. The Nazis had her, the CIA wants her. Ageless careens from decade to decade, and characters grow old and die while Aless is forced to hide her secret from everyone. Will she ever be able to stop running?

Filled with surprises of the ’wow’ sort, there’s even a little romance. (There’s also a scene in a lab the squeamish may want to skim. Fair warning.) This crowdfunded debut book, and winner of the Sword & Laser Collection Contest, is a fresh take on a ageless theme.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review."
