The orders have been coming in slowly but surely! I am very excited to be nearing the milestone of 250 orders and I wanted to show you all a photo of the Hero Seaplane model from the novel that I will raffle off to a Lucky Winner once we reach Quill publication! Each order gets an entry and if things go well I will be raffling off another hand-painted seaplane at every hundred order mark thereafter. So ... pre-order 1 or 2 or 10 books to increase your chances and lets get this High-flyin’ South Pacific adventure into your hands and bookstores worldwide!
Also, this campaign is one of the few rare titles to be offered in Hardcover!
Sincerely, your friendly Flying Boat Captain - Eric H. Heisner
Good morning Dreamers!
Hey all!! I’ve been spending time with my family and friends in Wisconsin and having a blast, but sadly I’m going back tomorrow :( The competition has been heating up (just how Amasarok likes it) and we’re nearing the end of the month. In order to stay in the Top 3, I need all of the support I can get to make sure Maggie’s story gets published. If you haven’t pre-ordered a copy yet please do so! And tell everybody about my story, especially those who would enjoy reading AYSYWTQ?
I want to represent all of the gamer girls out there and share a unique perspective that’s rare in the literary world!! :)
P.S. I’ll be watching the Game of Thrones finale tonight! :D
Thank you all for following and have a great Sunday!
Best,
Alisa-chan
First thing first, I just wanted to thank all of the wonderful people who have followed, commented upon, reviewed and critiqued Invictus. You help keep the Invictus ball rolling, and I fully intend on taking everything on board and doing my best to make the book the best it can be.
Secondly, I have uploaded chapter three. This short aims to give insight into the lives of the various families and the world as a whole.
Finally, I want to update on the overall progress. I’m well into drafting my way through the novel, and the whole book at this point is planned out and ready to have fleshy attachments. This July I shall be participating in camp Nanowrimo, and shall aim to plow through the rest of a first draft for the whole thing. So it’ll be a quiet month, and then I’ll be (hopefully) getting the ball rolling on pre-ordering.
Love,
X x
All, thank you for the support. Things have been progressing as well as they can under the circumstances. I had a kidney stone attack this week (my first ever), and I’ve spent the majority of the week being completely useless. I plan to spend today uploading as much as I have of Frost, as-is. (Resisting the urge to stop and edit is really difficult for me.) On the up side, there will be plenty of draft for you to feast your eyes on.
Since I have been unemployed since January of this year, I don’t have the disposable income to make many more mutual orders and also continue to pay my bills. I am, however, delighted to support my fellow authors in any other way I can, via recommendations, reviews, shares on social media, etc.
In other positive news, I expect my interview with The Hangin’ With Show to air on June 28, just 4 days from now! I’m praying that their reach will be the miracle I need to push Frost over the Quill goal.
Miracle? Yes, I really believe it’s going to take a miracle at this point to get 211 more pre-orders in the remaining 31 days this campaign has left. If you’re interested in seeing this novel published and haven’t ordered yet, I desperately encourage you to go ahead and make that leap of faith. If the campaign is unsuccessful, you’ve lost nothing and you get your money back. If, however, the campaign is successful, that will put me in a position to both pay my investors their percentages, and also to provide mutual support to other authors on Inkshares.
So, yeah, I’m asking for a miracle, but I promise that if this campaign is successful, I will find a way to return the favor to every single one of my followers.
Thanks and much love,
Chelsea Clemmons Moye
Dear friends:
Every once in a while, I get an e-mail from Inkshares with the subject line “You’re Selling Books.” Opening those e-mails is like opening a long awaited present. Those e-mails mean that a bookstore has decided to take a chance on my novel, and it will be carrying one or several copies of The Catcher’s Trap.
The first thing I do when I get those e-mails is googling the bookstore, finding out where is located and then sending them a thank you tweet for taking a chance with a new author.
So far six independent bookstores will be carrying my book: A. C. Vroman, in Pasadena, Ca. Common Good Books, in St. Paul MN. Tattered Cover in Denver CO. Prairie Lights Book, in IOWA City IA, Mysterious Galaxy Books, in San Diego CA and Flyleaf Book, in Chapel Hill NC.
There are over sixteen hundred independent bookstores in the U.S. It would be a dream come true if all of them carry my book, but, in the meantime, I’m thankful for those 6.
Hopefully, a bookstore in my home state of Connecticut will take a chance on me.
I also dream about taking a road trip and visiting every single one of the bookstores carrying my book. So far my map looks like this:
My trip would cover 4 thousand miles and it will take 61 hours of driving. If I’m lucky, and readers love my book as much as I do, many other stops will be added. Maybe I’ll have to take a year off to cover them all. An author can dream, right?
Have a wonderful weekend!
Greetings from Tennessee!
Open skies and open carry. Can you even smell the freedom? I do, and it smells like freedom and the state law which requires creationism to be taught in public schools, hmmm, yeah, freedom.
We are twenty orders away, and after my sixth round of emails to my followers I’ve only had two people demand to be taken off my email list. Joke’s on them because I got three orders off that last round and if they think internet trolling will stop me.... mwahaha. Now I have a stable place for a week (free WIFI) and I’m 20 orders away from Quill. That means publication. That means I will become an author. That means, I will ascend to a higher plain of existence, and I will show this fact to my ex-wife who will look at me and say, "Why are you showing me this? I already pre-ordered, I’m happy for you."
Yes, that’s right, I have a reasonable ex. Can you imagine? Where does she get off, supporting me regardless of personal differences? Ugh, it makes me sick.
Oh, the whole point of this is to help me reach Quill. We’re 20 away. Let’s do it!
Sweet Dreams,
Stephen
