Hello all you lovely people. Autumn and I have been so blessed by all the support and love you have shown us through out this competition so far. We have talked to some lovely people and been stretched as writers , as we fearfully look each morning at the score boards to where we are in regards pre-orders. We did want to thank those of you you have pre-ordered our book and for the lovely reviews some of you put on our page.
We do have a big favor to ask of you all, however. We know some of you who follow us have not pre-ordered our book yet , we are asking ( and slightly begging) you to pre-order our book today or tomorrow. We are about 13 pre-orders behind 3rd place and we know the farther we get from the 3rd the harder it will be to get back up. We really appreciate all you lovely readers so far and Autumn and I wanted to put a little incentive out there for you all. If we reach our goal of 13 pre-orders by tomorrow night we are going to put a new excerpt or maybe even chapter onto our site. So if you have been dying to read more pray, beg or do whatever you have to do to get someone you know to help us get back up to 3rd place.
We thank you all for your support and for reading all our updates.
Abigail & Autumn
It’s WAY past time I put some more chapters of PIPERVERSE up, so here we go…
Tonight, I am uploading Chapter 2 (The Laughing Sky) and Chapter 3 (Dangerous Minds) to my book samples. This completes the first section of my book in which we meet my protagonist Piper Lobe and her Uncle Seven. Starting next chapter, things get dangerous and cosmic (Coming soon! Watch this space!)
I realize we are now deep in the Nerdist contest and a lot of you folks have already spent all you can on other writers’ works. I humbly request that if you find any more coins or credits in those pockets of yours, you might consider throwing them at me for a preorder. (If you are truly tapped, please recommend me to all of your rich friends!) And, hey, I would LOVE any feedback, good, bad, or indifferent, on what I post here. PIPERVERSE will be a book someday…I’d love your input to make it a great, surprising, hilarious one. (For instance, Chapter 2 has always been the one I’m the least sure of. I welcome all thoughts.)
PIPERVERSE is basically my Pixar movie…with loads of Doctor Who and Terry Pratchett thrown in for rich, spicy flavor.
But here I am writing too much of this nonsense when what I want you to read are the new chapters. Please do!
All the best, Rhett
Hello followers! I had recently been approached and contacted by Realmwalker publishers asking if they could buy the rights to the series. Being only a small publisher, and currently funding through Inkshares at the moment, I was honoured to have been contacted. But I feel that I would definitely get more publicity and success through Inkshares.
If I manage to reach 50/100 orders, I will upload another chapter much later within the book to show how the story is progressing.
Please share around FB and Twitter, friends and family, comment and/or pre-order the book.
And I wish to say a big thank you to the supporters of my project and a massive thank you to the Inkshares team for correcting several issues that I have been having with uploading and editing the pages through the site.
Hey everyone! I have been quiet again, but I have not been idle. Round two of editing with http://www.storyperfectediting.com/
I’m plotting book two. Editing one of myshort stories. And taking some time to actually read. Maybe you gys can help me out. I have wanted to read old, and I mean older than sixty years, Hard Boiled Detective Novels, circa 1940’s. Maybe some of you are into that’s era and genre. Please send me some suggestions, this is an area that I am rather unacquainted with.
Thanks again. I will be posting some updated material soon.
Hi readers!

Please check out my new snippet, ’Mr Rodgers.’ I promise, absolutely and utterly guarantee, that you will love it. It’s bloody brilliant. And once you’ve finished, please share it with as many other people as you can.
Sorry for sounding so obnoxious, but I don’t mean to be. I’ve come to understand one of my weaknesses, which is sometimes a strength, and that is that I’m often ruled by my emotions, and when I’m feeling good, I have to let everyone know.
I happened to be reading through my book, and fell in love with it again - which is a good thing as I’d almost given up on it and began to think it a steaming pile of manure - and on the spur of the moment, felt I had to share this particular sample.
Happy Friday, Animals.
Are you in between reading stuff? I refer, of course, to that sliver of space-time in which you’ve just finished one book and are considering checking out a new one. If you’d like something to fill that void this weekend, having perhaps two hours to spare… Well, I wrote a screenplay a while back.
Hotline Miami was released in 2012. Made by two very talented indie game developers, it came close to stealing Game of the Year accolades from the likes of triple-A contenders like Halo 5, Xcom, and more. Yet a simple-minded gamer named gamer named Joe Asphahani never paid it much mind until mid-2015. Once he did, however, it blew his godamn mind, fueled his creativity, and inspired him to write a feature-length screenplay as a form of fan service. (There are more details on my portfolio page if you’re into that kind of thing.)

I started writing this screenplay in May, 2015. After several manic bursts of writing, punctuated by some debilitating stretches of writer’s block, I finally finished it in mid-November the day before I got on a plane to Japan for a family trip. ...and as soon as I landed back home in early December, my friend was like, “Hey! Enter your Animal in Man thingie in this Inkshares Sword and Laser thingie!” Now that the contest is all over and I’m dedicating literally every free moment to writing The Animal in Man, I decided to post my Hotline Miami script-homage up on the internet because… why not. What else am I going to do with it? Let the people enjoy!
So, like I said, give it a read if you have time. Please keep in mind I never got the chance to go back and revise it like I’d intended. (It’s what they call in the professional writing industry a “sh***y first draft.”)
Also, it’s ultra violent. Like the video game from which it derives its title, to which it pays mad respect. If you’re not into human shields, neon and hot pink, bullets, Russian mobsters, drills, the 80s, being set on fire, animal masks [yes, maybe I write about what frightens me], katanas, having your testic….. well, you get the picture, maybe. It’s all in there. If you’re not into that, this might not be for you.
Enjoy! Click HERE to read the script.
And by all means, try the game HERE.
I’m back to work on The Animal in Man now.
Dear Readers,
We are still doing well. Pre-orders continue to arrive steadily but I am counting on each of you to help getting the word out. If you’ve got a friend, cousin, brother, roommate, hamster (okay, maybe not hamster) that you think might enjoy a new space opera novel, please point them to this page. Since I’m a part of the Nerdist Space Opera contest, my timeline is a bit tighter than most campaigns. I would love to see 250+ pre-orders by March 14. My dear readers and followers, you are the force that can make this happen.
In the news, I have created a new "official" author Facebook page that I’ll also be using to update anyone following this novel as well as future novels. That’s right, folks, I have two more drafts waiting in the wings and a whole army of Plot Bunnies ready to be released upon the world. You can find that page here: www.facebook.com/RHWebster.ScienceFiction. Feel free to share it around and leave comments and questions there as well.
Also, I have been featured on The Warbler as well as a part of the Nerdist Space Opera contest. You can see the write-up there: http://www.thewarblerbooks.com/featured-author-rh-webster/
As always my readers and followers, thank you for your support and thank you for believing in both myself and Lucky. Together, we’ll make this happen!
- Webster

In my excitement of the previous message I set the date for February 3rd.
The actual date is March 3rd, 19h00. At Argo Bookshop.
1915 Saint Catherine street West, Montreal, QC H3H 1M3
I apologize for the confusion.
JF

Yes!
Dear sentients, the time has come. The venue is secured, the day is chosen. If you live in or around Montreal and are so inclined, I would like to invite you to join me in launching The Life Engineered officially this coming February 3rd at 19h00 at Argo Bookshop in downtown Montreal.
Located near Guy-Concordia Metro, Argo is an adorable little hole in the wall and independent book store that goes hand-in-hand with the Inkshares spirit of finding and promoting indie authors.
Come say hello and meet the other wonderful people who helped make this book a reality. I’ll do a Q&A, maybe read from the book if you guys are into that. There will be refreshment (early organization talk that means ’some food and some drink but I don’t know what yet’).
This night is going to be about YOU guys, because this might be my book, but it’s as much your accomplishment as it is mine. I’m only sorry I can’t have every single backer and supporter there.
No ’need’ to RSVP, but if you’re planning to come and want to let me know, I’d appreciate it.
I hope to see you guys there.
JF
