Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for The Animal in Man

Turns out that link I directed you to, the one I thought led to the Sword and Laser podcast interview with me and Craig Munro and Matt Sobin... yeah, it takes you to Inkshares author Melanie Reed's video for her book "Night Terrors."

Yeah. I'd been watching that earlier on youtube and accidentally copied the wrong link. Brain's not working still, it seems. (This campaign has been exhausting!)

Please check out Melanie's book (if you haven't already via the other link!)

And, of course, please enjoy the Sword and Laser video interview, as I'd intended.

Sorry for the double post, everybody!

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for The Animal in Man

Two updates. Two days in a row. Yes, it's reached that, hasn't it.

Real quick, though, I just wanted to say that Sword & Laser, sponsors of the Inkshares contest I am participating in, just wrapped up an interview of me and the other top two contenders, Matthew Isaac Sobin and Craig Munro. Please CLICK HERE to see their video on youtube.

It was a lot of fun! I didn't get to say all I wanted to about my book, but it's my brain's fault... You know how it is: you have all these things pre-loaded but then forget how to speak a coherent language once someone asks what's on your mind. Well, all my brain's failures considered, I think I spoke all right. And I think Matt and Craig spoke just as well if not better. I'm excited now more than ever before to get my hands on their books. (And, Craig, if you're reading this, even though I said I'd wait til the last day on the show, I say now to heck with that! In the spirit of camaraderie I'll be buying "Bones of the Past" right after this, my friend. Your description of your characters - that Carver, though, right! - has made me a fan.)

It was a blast. I'm having a great time with this whole Inkshares thing, and I think that mindset comes through on these airwaves. Everything I said about this place, about these authors, it's all true. All of it.

And as ever, thank you so very much for following this project. For reading this update. And for your pre-order of "The Animal in Man."

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for How to Get Run Over by a Truck

Holy. Moly. You wonderful, generous readers! Thank you so much for taking the time to read, comment, and purchase How to Get Run Over by a Truck! With your incredible support we have been able to pre-sell 375 copies of this memoir in less than 36 hours!

Although I am over the moon about the number of copies that have sold, what I am even more moved by is the number of you who have reached out to share your own "truck" story. Many of you have told me that the first chapter spoke to you, inspired you and even made you feel less alone.  I am so grateful for your generosity of spirit, and for believing in this project, and in me!  With your support, I know that we will achieve the goal of 750 pre-sales!

Thank you so much! This has been an incredible 36 hours, and its all because of you!!

      Heart,

      Katie

        Hi everyone!

I'm fine! Everything's under control, situation normal! We're - we're all fine here! How are you?

        Boring conversation, anyway!

The 2word & La2er contest is almost over, and do I have some recommendations for you? DO I???

First of all, you'd better go buy Deus Hex Machina by Amanda Orneck immediately.

I get to cameo in the book (AHH) and I'm also illustrating a page of the graphic novel for Amanda...

And YOU could win an original ink drawing of one of the panels. Just be one of the next ten people to pre-order her book, and you'll be in the running to win the original final ink drawing that will be based on this sketch:

        So order!

Secondly, LISTEN. You need to know about Transilience by Kevin Bragg.

Transilience is a delightful concept that will probably (hopefully) be a movie someday. A scifi noir tale about a private investigator unraveling corruption and fighting for his life... on Mars? Heck yes!

I checked in with author Kevin Bragg and now I'm super-excited about the variety of interesting women who play complex roles in his book. This isn't noir stuck in the past... this is future noir!

As for She Is the End, well, Alex and I are working on it. It's going to be good.

        I promise.

        Happy Museday!

Ah hah! We hit 90 readers!  That means I get to give away a signed copy of Shadow of the Owl!

Congrats to...Dan Holth!  Dan was kind enough to be my second Super Reader, and it looks like the multiple books ordered worked in his favor because the dice rolled in his favor this fine winter day.

Now it's early yet, so I am eager to see if we can get to the next raffle today.  Can we get 10 more people to jump on board by the end of the day?

*crosses fingers and toes* Oh I hope so!

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for Lies and Deception

            Good morning everyone,

Lies and Deception is now at 99 copies pre ordered. wow that is amazing !!!

We are also at 3 readers away from our first raffle ; a 50 $ gift card of the winners choice. I cannot say how much I am happy right now, of course I will not win the Sword and Laser contest but I am getting one step closer to Quill.

I am doing this book, as I always wanted to write a good story and also want to prove to my children that you can achieve anything if you work hard and believe in yourself. When they will be older and I will be an aged man they will be able to say here is the book my father wrote... one book, maybe more.

Again if you like what I am doing, please recommend to your friend and family.

thank you once more from my children and I :)

              Thank You!!!

As of bedtime-o'clock last night, Seven Shards has hit the Quill funding goal! This means it will be published!!!!!!!!

The little bundle of nerves that has been sitting in the pit of my stomach since August has now transformed into a miniature fireworks show. And not one of those blink-and-you-miss-it fireworks shows, but a fully choreographed, big-budget fireworks extravaganza. Coffee? Haha, who needs it!

I must extend my deepest gratitude to the members of the CEO Syndicate and John Robin's Epic Fantasy Syndicate for pushing Seven Shards over the edge. You (you beautiful people, you) surprised me and humble me and basically make me much more than a little verklempt.

There's probably more I could say, but right now the bottom line is Thank YOU!
