Robert Batten liked the forum thread, How do you use Goodreads?
Well, there just so happens to be an Inkshares group on Goodreads :)

https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/171196-inkshares-community

It’s died down a bit since this forum was added to the Inkshares site, but we’re about to revamp it to add new discussions focused on the Reader side of things. It’s still a great resource for Authors, though. I highly recommend checking it out for advice, community events, and other opportunities.

Robert Batten liked an update for The Adventures of MONOMAN

I’ve decided that I’m still going to open The Adventures of MONOMAN for pre-orders on the 10th. That means just one week until you can pre-order a sweet copy of my book! I hope that together we can reach the goal line!

Have a day full of imagination!

Robert Batten liked an update for The Living God

Hello, Followers and Supporters! Wow, the last few days have been incredible and I only have you guys to thank. Somehow, while being on a business trip, I managed to get this ball rolling and you guys ran with it.

We managed to break into the Top 3 last night but fell to 4th this morning. This is okay. If we can keep the momentum up and keep growing a little every day, we can stay near the top. The contest is three months long, we’ve got this! Not only that, but there are over 40 pre-orders! Even if we don’t reach the Top 3, we could reach the 250 Quill!

I’m doing a lot of prep-work in the brief moments I have to sit down at a computer, using a lot of advice from fellow author Joseph Asphahani. You should check out his book, The Animal in Man.

Another cool book to check out is Anthony White’s Scarlet. As a cover artist, I’m in love with his cover!

Over the next few weeks, I hope to put together a video talking about the book, the characters, and who I am and why I feel the project deserves to be published. I’m also contemplating rewards or incentives. Perhaps signed posters of the cover? So much to think about, so much to do in a short amount of time.

Please help me by spreading the word about The Living God! You guys are the best. Much love!

Robert Batten recommended Child of Secrets
Child of Secrets is a fantasy thief tale in the vein of some of my favourites - the prologue quickly reminded my of Locke Lamora, and I am eager to read more of his exploits!

“We go inside and chase shadows with the rest of them,” Jacer said flatly, and bulled ahead despite Niko’s look of bewilderment. “We’ll look like fools, but only the same kind of fool as everyone else. If we don’t go with the group, they’ll find some way to pin his escape on us. If there’s one thing I learned from my time in the army, it’s that you don’t want to be the odd man out when things go south.”

He had no idea how the thief was planning to escape, but Jacer very, very much doubted that they had Quicksilver trapped.
