Eric H. Heisner liked an update for Overture

Exciting news!  I’m thrilled to report that the Snarky Darksy syndicate has selected Overture as its backed project for September.  Many thanks to C. Brennecke and the entire syndicate membership for their support.

And now, I invite you all to come on over and bite into some snark for yourself!

Thanks!

    Good morning, readers!

As I’ve been writing the book, I’ve found I place certain celebrities’ faces on the characters, hearing their voices as I write their dialogue. I thought I’d share the actors I have in mind for my dream cast of Upload. As I haven’t revealed all the players yet, I won’t be able to show you everyone, of course.

Detective Jonathan Qin: Daniel Wu. Wu is a fantastic actor from Into the Badlands and Warcraft. I’d love to see him in the lead role.

Commissioner Richard Simms: Bryan Cranston. Simms is a regular throughout the book, providing a foundation for the police department. Cranston would be fantastic in the role.

COO Eli Brand: John Slattery. The Chief of Operations at EMBR is a charmer and a visionary. I’ve loved Slattery’s work in Mad Men and the Iron Man films, and would love him to play Brand.

Detective Rachel York: Olivia Wilde. I think she’s great as an actress, and could pull off the "not gonna deal with your bullshit" attitude she throws at Qin sometimes.

Thanks for reading. I’d love to get your support by sharing on social media a link to the campaign. We’ve stalled on readers, though we got a new one last week.

Also, I hear rumor my book is up for a vote at the Night Thriller Syndicate. I’d love for the members over there to vote for my book. Thanks for considering me!

      Hello everyone!
Thought it was about time for my first update after a good weekend. :)
I made some edits to the prologue last week and put up Chapter 1 at the end of the week. The response from these was great with three recommendations. I couldn’t stop grinning knowing people were loving what I was almost to nervous to post (seriously was siting at  the computer hovering over the button to post for like an hour). Since then followers went up from about 11 to 23! I was even trending on the front page (dont know what it takes to do that but it was cool anyway :P).  While still no where near the goal and only two order it was fantastic to get a response like that in about a day or two. Since then I’ve used the feedback to make some needed edits,  including some additions that expand certain parts a little, to both chapter 1 and the prologue. Check those out if you haven’t already.

Please continue to help me make this dream come true and share this around as much as you can!

I also have a question for you all. What is it that prompts you to go from following to actually ordering? With my followers growing but order not really changing I want to know what I can do to entice you further. Is it simply you want to see more chapters before you decide (chapter 2 coming soon btw)? Do you want to know more about the characters? Whatever it is let me know so we can start getting the ball rolling.

As always thank you all of you for your kind words and support really keeps me going in my writing.
      -Jacob

Eric H. Heisner liked an update for The Last Faoii

        Greetings, Faoii

This has nothing to do with the book.

Yesterday was suicide prevention day. I just wanted to say that if you’ve ever considered or attempted suicide-- you’re not alone. I’m glad you’re still here. I’m glad I’m still here. I’m glad that we have each other. I’m glad that people and society are breaking down the stigma of depression. I’m glad there’s light at the end of the tunnel even when we can’t see it.

The suicide hotline number is 1-800-273-8255. There are good people on the other side of it. You matter. I matter. Life has the potential to be good. And you are loved.
I promise to return to my regular updates tomorrow. But... statistically speaking, a lot of writers suffer from depression. So I thought it couldn’t hurt to reach out here.

Take care of yourselves. Shields up.

Eric H. Heisner liked an update for The Love Fool

          Hello readers!!

Thank you for the growing support for THE LOVE FOOL. Things have been progressing well.

THE LOVE FOOL has reached 178 pre-orders; which is super exciting! I am so happy for the enthusiasm for reading my debut novel. :)

I’m close to the minimum (250) pre-order goal, I just need another 72 to reach it - and get published.

My deadline is SEPT 23 - and I’m not there yet. So, I ask that if you have not pre-ordered yet, please don’t hesitate to help THE LOVE FOOL get published.

For those of you that have already pre-ordered - thank you, thank you, thank you!!

The goddess of Order created the elves in her likeness, to balance the Chaos of humanity. War was inevitable, and seems never-ending, but can isolation really save them? Spoiler alert: No. No it can’t. But maybe one stubborn young woman can.
