Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for Transilience

Greetings and salutations!

I just wanted to post a quick update before I head off to the sun, the desert and a place where I might actually be able to wear shorts and a T-shirt because it’s appropriate...not out of spite like I usually do.

Much like "One does not simply walk into Mordor." One does not move to Sweden for the weather (or climate).

A quick, but very sincere, Thank You to Faith, Kurt, John, Howard and Hesse for supporting Transilience. I highly recommend you checking out their pages. Faith has written a mystery novel that oozes pulp fiction (I mean the genre not the film). Hesse has provided an interesting spin on the CIA, a hitman and small town America.

So I will be away until Feb 23rd, but time and Transilience’s campaign will not be taking a wee holiday. I’ll be checking up on the site probably daily and hopefully some fun updates in the process. I mean I will have access to the Internet. It’s everywhere!

everywhere.....

I’ll sign off with a little something I drew instead of being productive. I think it’s pretty awesome and says a lot about the story....

I promise the actual sketch I’m giving away will be better than this, but again I quite like it.

Have a great weekend everyone!

And tell everyone you know about this little project of mine. Interest is picking up and if we can get it to snowball then publication is achievable!

Cheers!

Kev

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for Disintegration

    Hi, all.

It’s been quite the deluge of followers, lately. It would be lovely if those who have tuned in to these updates, but have not yet ordered, would purchase a copy of Disintegration.

I participated in #PitMatch, yesterday and garnered some interest, so I’ll be submitting my manuscript to those agents. I’d love for Inkshares to work out, but I’ve still got over 350 orders to go to make the fully funded threshold, and I need those orders to happen in order to reach that goal. In the meantime, I think it makes sense to consider other options when the finish line, here, is still pretty far off.

However, I can get to the Inkshares finish line. It’s not insurmountable. It just requires your help (yes, you, specifically!). So, again, if you’ve just been lurking and haven’t ordered ... I understand that a lot of authors are vying for your attention and your money ... if you’ve got credits to spare, please invest them in Disintegration, if you’re willing to spend your own capital, I’d be exceedingly grateful for that, as well.

If you’ve already ordered (thank you!), and you know of anyone who might also be interested, send them your referral link and earn some credits of your own. If each of my current readers generated just one more order from someone they know, I would be 83% of the way to my goal. That’s way further along than 52%, and we could accomplish that in no time.

Click the links above, click the button below. Shout it from the hilltops. Let’s come together and make Disintegration happen (yes, that was intentional :) ).

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for Project Human

4 feet of butcher paper, 10 scribbled upon pieces of scrap paper during work, and 2 weeks of intense brainstorming, sibling discussions about world-building, and hypothetical ramblings... Project Human’s plot is pretty solid, I have both mental and physical pictures of the two driving protagonists, AND some pretty epic ideas for the antagonist character(s).

I have also been trolling Pinterest for hours as a part of my storyboarding technique, read numerous speculative articles, working my way through a list of both movies and books about a speculative future involving robots (Ex Machina is awesome until the last 10 minutes, upon which both my eyebrows were raised and I had a mental mantra of "what the heck...what?" Still, excellent AI movie... if but a bit disturbing and abstract.) to both make sure I won’t unintentionally copy ideas/storylines, as well feed the creative monster a steady diet of sci-fi to prepare for my writing marathon that will be the writing of this first draft.

A blurb will probably be ready in a week or so, and I’m really excited to share that with you! And as a sneak peek, I’m going to drop the two protagonist’s names...

As the voice of the story (first person; present tense - a perspective I adore) we have Hailey, an almost-18 year old android mechanic. The android prototype is PH-S1 (Project Human, Subject 1) that is an experimental, first-of-its-kind design. I really can’t say more about the android without dropping MAJOR spoilers, but needless to say this character is where the I-Robot references come heavily into play... sort of.

Anyway, that’s it for now. If you’d like to discuss a speculative future with me (please! The more ideas, the merrier!) email me at tcbbcfangirl@gmail.com

        Cheers!

          Dear readers,

This Saturday, I will be revealing my plans for what I anticipate will be an epic finish for the Blood Dawn campaign.

For those who emailed me to ask for a hint, I told you: brush up on your Risk.

I will not give any more hints -- Saturday is only a few days away -- but I do need to give you all a warning:

In order to be eligible for the prizes, you will need to be a God-King (3 copies) or a Dragon (7 copies) as of Saturday, February 13th.

There will be an opportunity for everyone to participate, of course, but if you want to get in on the full awesomeness of what I have brewing, then now is the time.

Click here to become a God-King or a Dragon: https://www.inkshares.com/books/blood-dawn

(Note: if you have already ordered 1 or more copies, you need only order the number of copies it would take -- ebook or print book -- to total either 3 or 7, depending on if you want to be a God-King or Dragon.)

Thank you for all your support!

So look what arrived yesterday:Most of these are for those fabulous readers who won my Deus Hex Machina raffles.  I’m feeling a little punk right now, but I couldn’t help but share.  When I feel better I will sign these and send them off to the winners.

We’re 8 orders away from the next raffle, so if you’ve followed DHM, enjoyed what you’ve read of it, please consider ordering.

Okay, that’s it, back to resting.  Have a good weekend!

Thomas J. Arnold liked an update for To Live and Die in Avalon

Hey spies and superspies! The second half of Chapter 1 has been posted for you all to devour, completing a meaty opening to Penny’s space opera epic (mmm...delicious)! The entire novel has been comprehensively outlined and is progressing rather well, with some wonderful little changes and happy accidents coming out in the writing process (I love when that happens). Also, check out my rad promo vid, if you haven’t already and as always spread the word!
