James Rasile liked an update for Sorcery for Beginners

Friends, Readers, and Sorcerers All,

Yesterday, you should have received an email that looks like this:

Yes, it’s finally here! Many of you backed this book a year ago, and the finished e-copies have been sent at last. Physical copies will be shipping sometime in the next week or two. We put a lot of love into the finished product, and I can’t wait for you to see it.

But I need to ask for one more favor. Once you’ve read the book (or while you’re reading it, we don’t judge), if you could leave a review on Goodreads and Amazon, it will make a huge difference to us. I’m told that once a book has 100 reviews on Amazon, their algorithm makes it much more noticeable to website visitors. So that’s our goal: 100 reviews!

I can’t thank you all enough. Sorcery for Beginners is my debut novel, and it exists because of your support. I hope you enjoy it!

James Rasile liked an update for Witherfist

Hello, readers. Long time no write!

By now, you should have received an email letting you know that you’re getting a refund for pre-ordering my book, Witherfist. Sadly, this isn’t a mistake. I’ve decided not to go ahead with publishing Witherfist at this time.

Since successfully hitting funding of Witherfist in January of this year, I’ve come to a realisation. The book needs a lot of work and a lot of time before it’s in a position to hand to a publisher, let alone to send out to wonderful readers like yourself. Not knowing how long that will be, I don’t feel comfortable asking you to wait, not when you’ve already parted with your money, and so I have made the decision to request that Inkshares refund all of you.

Whether you preordered the book because you genuinely liked the story of Witherfist, or because you wanted to support me, either as a friend or as a fellow author and Inkshares community member, I’m incredibly grateful. Having so many people rally behind this book - and me - really was amazing. You’ve all given me the confidence to share my writing with the world, and I can’t thank you enough for that.

Thanks again for all of your support.

Please let me know if you have any issues receiving your refund.

       ~ Jenny

James Rasile liked an update for The Knightmares

        Hello Knightmares!

I am long overdue for an update. Forgive me, because I have news.

The Knightmares will be starting the production process soon! I have been contacted by the powers-that-be and things are moving forward. HOWEVER, in order to proceed, I need to cut the word count of my manuscript. The amount of words I need to cut will be quite an ordeal.

At first I viewed this as a setback, but as I began combing through the material once again, I see this as a positive. Stepping away from the project for the last year has given me new perspective, not just on my writing, but an overall way to cut information that was no longer useful. This should allow The Knightmares to become leaner, and move at a quicker pace.

I cannot promise when I will be able to finish these edits, but I am doing my best considering how long everyone has waited. I have time I can take from my job to work on it, and I will do everything in my power to get it out quickly.

During this process, I will reveal the new cover design, which has a few small edits needed. It is a powerful cover, and I’m sure everyone will like it as much as I do.

Until the next time, thank you for your patience and your enduring faith in the project. Big things are coming.

        Thank you!
        G.A. Finocchiaro

          IMPORTANT UPDATE! PLEASE READ!

First off, I really want to thank all of you for your support. I am so excited about the way the book turned out and I hope you are, too. I just had a book signing at Bookworks in Albuquerque over the weekend and it went amazing. Thank you for coming! My next signing will be at The Tattered Cover in Denver on September 23rd at 2PM. Please join me!

KARID update: After some soul searching, I have decided not to publish with Inkshares again for the time being. I don’t see crowdfunding as something I want to do with the next four years of my life, and if I give up the rights to my series that is what will end up happening. This is not to say I won’t consider Inkshares in the future, but for now, it is not a good fit. Thank you for understanding and thank you to all those who preordered KARID right away.

REVIEWS: Please rate the book on Amazon and Goodreads-it takes you two seconds and it helps me tremendously.

PURCHASE ORDERS: Unfortunately my book is one of the few Inkshares titles that hasn’t received a big purchase order out of the gate. Here’s how you can help: 1. Rate the book on Amazon and Goodreads. 2. Go to your local bookstore and tell them they should order some copies. 3. Go to your local Barnes and Noble and request they carry the book. I really do need your help on this-SIF is the type of book that will spread word of mouth!

AUDIO BOOK DEAL: I can finally announce that SIF will be an audio book! We have penned a deal with Audible and it should be out sometime in November.

That’s it for now! Thank you for the love and support!

James Rasile liked an update for Storm of Fury

            Good morning everyone,

First let me start off by once again thanking my backers. Your patience and support means everything to me, and you will not have to wait much longer. That’s right; Storm of Fury has a tentative publication date for January 16th! This means you should be receiving your book, the first of the SoF trilogy, on or around the week of the 16th.

I’ll be working hard with Inkshares these next few months to provide you with the best book possible. Thank you again for your patience, and I can’t wait to get Storm of Fury to you!

And while we wait a little more, check out the next version of Storm of Fury’s cover. While this isn’t the final version, it’s very close, and reflects the new subtitle for the first book: Winds of Legend.

            Talk to you all soon!

            Andrew
