Eric Landreneau liked an update for Wings of the Pirate

Hello Air Pirates!  I am super excited to announce the new cover design for my high flying adventure novel "Wings of the Pirate". I am feeling very honored to have the creative skills and support of my longtime friend and acting collaborator, Clint Beach of Attic Studios #cabeachphotos #atticstudiosproductions.  We are currently 36 orders away from being published and coming in for the homestretch.  Let’s bring this bird in for a safe landing well beyond the 250 goal and not come crashing in a fiery wreck just short of the beach.  Click that green preorder button now (If you don’t have that on your screen -Thank YOU again!) and get a copy ordered for you or for that adventurous spirit in the family.

Thanks!!

Eric Landreneau liked an update for Witherfist

      Witherfist is 25% funded!

Yes, you read that right. At 63 preorders, Witherfist is now a quarter of the way to being published. In her  ’G&S Contest: 11-25’ thread, Jane-Holly Meissner identified that Witherfist is currently placed 13th in the contest. That’s 13th out of over 350 submissions. Wow! We’re 26 readers behind the number 10 spot in the contest - and I’m hoping that we can close that gap by the end of the month.

I mentioned in a previous update that the Epic Fantasy Syndicate was considering selecting Witherfist as their book of the month. The recipient of that honour this month was my fellow contest entrant, The Living God, so a big congrats goes out to Kaytalin Platt!

      In other exciting news...

      • This weekend, I’ll be at GollanczFest in London, listening to panels on the sci-fi and fantasy community and the impact and importance of an author’s online presence. Don’t worry, I’ll be taking notes, which I’ll share in the Inkshares community forum.
      • I’m also happy to share that Jay Lockwood (author of A Beast Requires) was randomly selected to the win the art giveaway, which I ran for the first 50 readers to preorder. A pack dragon is currently preparing to paddle its way across the Atlantic with Jay’s prize.
      • Lastly but not least, I recently completed another author interview, this time with Jim Vines - so if you’d like to hear more of my thoughts on the writing process, have a peek.

Thanks for your support. We’re so close to the top 10 and making great progress with funding. I know we can make this happen!

      ~ Jenny

Eric Landreneau liked an update for Black Cloud

Hello! You first 65 followers are the best. I really appreciate you all jumping in early and following the book. Honestly, I’ve had so much more positive feedback than I expected. It’s pretty awesome.

I shot a first attempt at a promo video for the book last night with the help of a paramedic buddy. I’m not sure how well it went but when I get it edited I’ll share it with all of you and see what you think. At this point I’m at the "gather followers" stage of the game. So if any of you feel inclined to spread the word, I would greatly appreciate it!

Here’s a little treat for following the book. Black Cloud is fiction but throughout the campaign I thought it would be fun to share little real world stuff from time to time. So here is today’s:

A couple weeks ago a patient had the following exchange with one of our local ER docs.

Doc: "So what brought you into the ER today?"

        Patient: "I have kidney problems."

Doc: "Ok, what kind of kidney problems?"

Patient: "Well I had a dream that a falcon swooped down and ate my kidneys so I Googled it and it said that means I have kidney problems."

After the doctor had left the room I asked him what he was going to do. He smiled at me and said, "I guess I’ll check her kidneys."

As a writer it makes me jealous that you I can’t make up stuff as crazy as that. That’s it for now guys. Have a good one!

Mythological voice reminds me of Name of the Wind, but the story is pan-mythological set in pre-deluge Earth. Ambitious.
