James Rasile liked an update for Tantalus Depths

Tantalus Depths is only 6 away from 300 pre-orders! As I’ve said, once I reach that number, I’m going to make my original short story, The Perspecive Machine, temporarily free for download to all, as a way to say thanks.

Let’s hit that goal asap, so I can give you all this thank you gift :)

    Good morning Dreamers!

I hope everyone is well, I hope everyone is safe, and I hope my friend recovered from being attacked by a pack of wild dogs he thought he saw (he was... extra sober). We have officially hit the one month mark and are sitting at 193 pre-orders! I tell you what I’m going to do about it, as I’m currently fist pumping and typing one -handed, which is taking forever. I am going to release a chapter at pre-order 200.

The second bit of news is that I’m partnering with S. J. McCune of Millicent Barnes Comics for some artwork. I’ve followed his for some time off kickstarter, bought some amazing artwork which is now framed on my walls, and could not recommend in independent artist more highly. Check his work out at  millicentbarnescomics.jimdo.com or comixology under the name.

Thank you again for your support and let’s get these last pre-orders for Quill!

    Sweet Dreams,

    Stephen

James Rasile liked an update for Destiny Imperfect

      Greetings Destiny-followers,

I just got my first podcast mention! JF Dubeau and Paul Inman of WriteBrain fame have a chat about the Inkshares/Nerdist contest in general, their awesome book in particular (one that I have pre-ordered), as well as giving honorable mentions to Destiny Imperfect and another top read (and my closet competitor), SideScroller (a book I have also pre-ordered). Go and have a listen to their podcast!

And, if you haven’t already, take a look at Destiny Imperfect and see if it’s something you could pre-order. I could do with the help!

      Cheers,

      Peter

        Week 4 Update!

First off, sorry that there was no week 3 update, but I was busy...MAKING BOOKMARKS!

I have a couple of planned things ahead, including attending an event with my writing group and a public reading from my book and these should come in handy.

So, 4 weeks down and 8 to go. This past week, Shift finally passed into double-percentile territory, which raised my spirits a little. That being said, I still have to manage an increased sales rate if I am going to hit 250 pre-orders by August 5th.

        Thinking...thinking...I’m open to ideas.

One of the main issues is that most people in my social circle, those that aren’t family & friends, know me for my street photography and not science fiction scribblings, something I’ve only had the courage to throw out into the world for a year or so. And those into photography, apparently, don’t read much, as I discovered during a recent Facebook messaging effort. With that in mind, I’m trying to extend my efforts outside of it, which is difficult, because outside of it is very noisy.

        Fingers crossed.

Even though I didn’t do a week 3 update, some of you may have received a scene from Shift in your Inbox. I changed the pre-order page sample chapter to something earlier on an more character-centric: the first meeting of Pei & Roy. It’s available there now if you didn’t get it via email.

        Onward!

James Rasile liked an update for Detective Diaries

            Yo, readers!

Welcome to our 6th Detective Sunday! I almost lost count haha. I hope you all are enjoying yourselves this summer. It’s been extremely hot where I live, and there’s not many pools in sight that I can have all to myself. Oh, and remember to stay hydrated. I remember feeling really really tired to the point that I almost fell out during football practice. It’s not a great feeling; especially with sports, mind you. Anyways, onto the update!

Well, I have a little surprise for you guys. This weekend I did some browsing through Inkshares and I felt I was missing plenty of things that other stable campaign books have. I wrote down some of the things and labeled them as weekly goals until I’m ready to start pre-ordering and such. Each Detective Sunday, I’ll bring something new to the table, or update the book synopsis and ask for opinions. However, today, this is the new "thing".                          https://youtu.be/0lJToqCG_n0

That link leads to a video I made for Detective Diaries. It’s just a video of simple still images with text and instrumental music in the background. I’m starting to get familiar with the program I use, which is Premiere Pro, but it’s a paid program I won’t hold onto for long. So, I will be testing out different programs, and if you guys have suggestions, please don’t hesitate to message me. Also, this is my first time doing something like this, so excuse any errors. I’ll post the video on the book’s page as well for people checking out Detective Diaries.

Look forward to Chapter One: The Ward (Edited Version) sometime early next week. The beginning will be very different, and it will even feature Rean Bates--another key detective among the Detective Agency. Have a great morning/afternoon wherever you are, and remember to like the chapters and spread the word!

            Until next time, A.J.III

James Rasile liked an update for The Sleeping Man

            Good morning Dreamers!

Well, I’ve had quite the weekend. I have two huge elements of news that are equally important in different ways. I’ll go in the order of why I’m telling you. First, The Sleeping Man was June’s pick for the Epic Fantasy Syndicate! https://www.inkshares.com/syndicates/john-robin-s-epic-fantasy-syndicate. Having one syndicate pick is amazing, but having a second bathes me in a warm light. Secondly, I got promoted and had my daughter pin the new rank on:

The support and interesting for The Sleeping Man is amazing and I cannot thank everyone enough. Now we just need to push to Quill, and there is plenty of time. A guest blog post, interview, and two syndicate picks can’t be wrong, so pre-order now! Pre-order again! Recommend! Share! Ride forth!

            Sweet dreams,

            Stephen

James Rasile liked an update for Sync City

              Greetings Jackolytes,

Come Monday morning Jack gets exposed to the harsh light of a new production editor over at Girl Friday Productions. This both awesome and daunting at the same time. I shall keep you updated on Jack’s behaviour throughout the process.

And Sync City’s potential stablemate, Destiny Imperfect, is currently in a battle royal (I had to check the spelling on this as I always thought it was royale!) for second place over at the Inkshares/Nerdist contest. There are a few worthy foes knocking on (and potentially knocking down) the Destiny Imperfect door, and I need your help to vanquish them. If you could check out Destiny Imperfect here and hit pre-order, that’d be very cool.

              Have an excellent weekend!

              Cheers,

              Peter
