Greetings, Faoii!
I’ve heard from several of you that you got an e-mail (AGAIN) informing my soldiers that The Last Faoii has hit its Quill goal and will enter production sometime in the future. I don’t know why the notice went out twice, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I wouldn’t want you all forgetting about our fight during this reprieve, after all. ;)
I do, however, want to point out that The Last Faoii was invited to join the Quill collection that day, too. I accepted and joined, but was dropped from the collection less than 10 minutes later. I’m not sure what this means for The Last Faoii, and Inkshares has yet to respond to any of my e-mails, but I’m sure it’s just a glitch that will be fixed soon. You’ll learn more as I do.
Until then, I’ve updated The Last Faoii’s page with a different blurb and some new information about me. I also think the page is easier to read now, and am pleased with the drop in prices after having reached Quill. There is no reason for our army’s numbers to grow stagnant. Spread the word! Add your voices to the battle choir! The Last Faoii is perfect for anyone who likes fantasy, LGBT heroines or who would rather get a sword than a glass slipper for Christmas.
That’s it for now. Shields up!

Hello Readers and Followers!
This is just a short update to let you know that I have chosen to extend the Fae Child campaign one more time. Instead of ending on December 31st, I will be on this crowdfunding rollercoaster through the end of February. Fae Child has been getting some good buzz on Inkshares in the syndicates, and I want to be able to capitalize on that and give myself some space after the holidays are over to pull in more orders. We are very close to 100 orders, and it’s just a hop and a skip from that to 250. Okay, okay, it’s a little more than that, but I really think we can do it together, and I really believe in this book. Picture Fae Child as The Little Book That Could, and we’re chug-chugging up Preorder Mountain. Thank you so much for your support, and your patience.

Inkshares has had problems with refunds on other campaigns and I wanted to make sure everyone who bought Illegal has received their money back. The refund should have gone out on October 24th and reached your account a few days later. If you were not refunded please reach out to hello@inkshares.com and let them know. Also let me know and I’ll stay on their case.
On a related note, many of you have been asking if they should re-order. The answer is no. The team has done a very poor job handling their mass-refund mistake, and there are refund issues with at least one other campaign so I would not trust them with money at this point. I’ve lost a lot of trust in the platform and the team running it and at this point they would really have to go above and beyond for me to change my mind and still let them publish my book. That seems unlikely to happen at this point. Save your money.
I’m going to push them to give me a real answer next week about how they plan to resolve this. If they can’t tell me or it doesn’t include them going above and beyond, I’ll walk away and seek better options.
Alright, so we were nowhere near making it. But things aren’t all doom and gloom. I have been hard at work rebranding, re-editing and re-writing parts of the novel and will be self-publishing it.
For those who have supported Ward from the start, well you will receive special copies and my undying gratitude. Beta readers from all stages will get a special SPECIAL copy. How they will be made extra special, well I dunno at this stage. Maybe I’ll sprinkle pixie dust on them. Maybe i’ll put them in a (small) pile and Scrooge McDuck swim in them. NAKED.
WHAT?! He wears no pants, why do I have-- OK, fine. Party poopers.
Anyway, thank you to you all, and keep your peepers peeled. Currently about 2/3 done. I have 2 weeks off in January so hope to be done by Feb with new artwork and all.
Cheers!
