James Rasile liked an update for SideScroller

Hi, everybody! Just a quick little tangent today.

SideScroller has fallen down the ranks from 3rd to 6th! The competition in this contest just got real in a scary way, but I could never have gotten this far at all if not for you, so thanks again for all your help and pre-orders! (I’ve got a little surprise coming soon for all of you, something that’ll hopefully get more butts in the SideScroller seats). Should hopefully have it ready this weekend.

In the meantime, I want to talk about a new Inkshares book I’ve discovered: "Tantalus Depths", by Evan Graham. This dude looks like he’s taking hard sci-fi to the next level. You like creepy, ancient planets? He’s got ’em. You like artificial intelligence that grows and thinks and adapts? He’s got it. You like fantastic, eldritch terrors from beyond our realm of reasoning? Then why are you still reading this? Go check out Tantalus Depths and pre-order a copy.

Till next time, have a great day, and stay tuned to the SideScroller page later this week for my special surprise!

Eldritch horror meets the teen detective genre in the first novel of the Arkham Akademy series. The question is not what cosmic menace, dark force, or corrupt science is responsible, but which one? The game is afoot, or tentacle? A claw maybe...
James Rasile liked an update for Lucky

Hi, my faithful and wonderful Readers,

I am happy to announce that my lengthy silence is (hopefully) over! The past few weeks have been a tumult of real life, depression, anxiety, and installing new book cases in my house! The new book cases are wonderful...the other stuff wasn’t so wonderful. Here’s a picture of the new book cases to cheer us all up. ...

In other, more exciting news: I have finished my first rewrite for Chapter 13 of Lucky! I’m pretty excited and I think the new writing is going to be fun for everyone to read. It involves - get this - pet rocks. Yes, I said it. Pet rocks! And in space!

It also opens the door for me to flesh out a few of the secondary characters in the novel and bring them more into the spotlight than they have been previously. I even gave one of them the wonderful name of Giovanna Marino. So that was fun.

There’s a bit of a downside, though. I had, with the help of a beta reader (or seven), discovered that I have a MAGNIFICENT AND LARGE (read that in an epic booming voice) plot hole in the middle of my book. This new Chapter 13 helps fill that MAGNIFICENT AND LARGE plot hole...but also makes necessary the creation of all new Chapters 14, 15, 16 and maybe 17. What is currently number Chapters 14, 15, 16 and maybe 17 will become probably Chapters 18, 19, 20 and 21, etc. The MAGNIFICENT AND LARGE plot hole will be filled, there shall be more of Lucky for all of you to enjoy, and I will grow more gray, crazy lady hairs as a result. It will all be wonderful fun and hopefully finished in the next two weeks-ish.

I’ll be tweeting updates out as well, so follow me on Twitter (@RH_Webster) and on Facebook (www.facebook.com/RHWebster.ScienceFiction) and on Wordpress (www.rhwebster.wordpress.com). I might even drop a few lines/paragraphs here and there for you to enjoy, so you’ll want to stay alert!

As ever, I cannot thank you enough for your continued support! Instead I’ll have another cup of coffee in your honor.

James Rasile liked an update for Squids In

      Hey All,

OK so following overwhelming support for the new cover, I have pushed the button and switched it over. I have also uploaded chapter two and written a brand new overview of the book. All of this can be found below:

Squids In tells the story of a burnout called Toby who befriends an octopus that animal activists stole from a lab and dumped in his pool. After noticing that the octopus is really good at playing video-games, Toby unleashes the octopus onto the competitive online gaming scene, amassing both wealth and fame. No one knew that the mad gaming skills belonged to an octopus, all they saw was Toby’s face and all they heard was Toby’s voice. It wasn’t until some enterprising hackers compromised Toby’s computer and the octopus is stolen that the wheels start to fall off this mass deception. So what happens next? Pre-order to find out...

PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS NOT A BOOK FOR KIDS. IT CONTAINS FREQUENT USE OF PROFANITIES, MILD DRUG USE, MODERATE SEX SCENES AND ONE VERY NAUGHTY MONKEY!

Thanks for your continued support. Please be sure to recommend the book, any lines of text you particularly like and pre-order if you have not already done so.

Following a massive surge of activity yesterday, the book is now only 13 pre-orders away from breaking back into the top 3 in the Nerdist competition!

      Have a great day!

        Story Update:
The crew of The Diamelen is equipped with all manner of sophisticated mining equipment on their mission to Tantalus 13. One such piece of equipment is the EM probe deployment gun. It gives them the ability to see detailed three-dimensional images of the composition of the rock beneath them. On a mysterious world like Tantalus 13, these probe guns will give the crew their first glance at what lies below...and may need to see a less conventional use later on...

The crew are well-equipped, but is it enough for the dangers that await them? Find out when you place your pre-order for Tantalus Depths today!

First of all, a hearty welcome bear-hug to all new readers and followers! I am really glad you are part of the Mission 51 family!

Calling all friends and fans! I would like Mission 51 to reach 125 pre-orders by the end of the week. That’s just 15 more than what we have now! For those of you who have already pre-ordered, thank you, and perhaps you can encourage a friend or two to do the same. That would really help!

For those who have yet to order, this is the time! There are only 52 more days to reach the 250 pre-order requirement, and time is flying!

If you are an Inkshares author, contact me for a pre-order swap.

Please share this link with family and friends! We must reach 250 pre-orders. - To quote myself (in the Preface): "The story must be told."  :-)
