Hm hmm hmm.
Tra la la.
What? What's that, you say? Something... happened?

I hope to see you Friday...
Ladies and gentle men, I come to you with some good news, nay....great news.
Ghosts of War is getting published by Inkshares.

How can this be you ask? Well, today Jeremy Thomas (Inkshares' CEO) announced some changes to the way Inkshares will work going forward and the changes mean only good things for Ghosts of War.
You can read the full blog post about the changes here, and I recommend that you do: http://blog.inkshares.com/post/131749557025/inkshares-funding-goal-announcement
But these are the most important points for right now:
Any project that reaches 250 pre-orders will qualify for the “light-publishing” option with a new, yet-to-be-named Inkshares collection. These books will receive a light edit, an ISBN, and limited distribution (including physical and digital on Amazon.com). Backers will receive physical copies printed through our print-on-demand service. We will reserve the right to push any of these books through our full production process, and as with all of our books, the rights will remain non-exclusive if the author wishes to publish elsewhere.
So that's pretty awesome, but there is a small catch: After October 30th the pre-order prices are going up.
Now this bit is all in bold because it's the most important of important things.
If you pre-order a copy of 'Ghosts of War' before October 30 (or have previously pre-ordered a copy), you will still get it for $9.99 with free shipping.
Any copies ordered after that will cost more, so if you've been on the fence about it, please, dive in, especially those of you who are in Australia or other non-US countries. Right now is when you can get the best deal.
In closing, I want to thank every one of you who's ordered a copy so far, you got me here and it's because of you that Ghosts of War is getting published. I can't thank you all enough.
I think it's going to take a while to sink in that this is really happening, but until then...we can have a party.

AHOY THERE, READERS! GOOD MORNING! And what an interesting morning it is!
Apologies for the non-communication as of late. Like many folks who run a campaign such as this, begging every family member, coworker, associate, stranger on the street, etc to buy my book, I had certainly felt a bit discouraged as of late. We've hit 106 pre-orders! Woo hoo! Unfortunately, that is still a long ways off from 1,000 needed for publishing. And the end of the campaign, December 6th, is approaching fast. Things aren't exactly looking swell for Commander Dax Harrison...
Then I received an email this morning from Inkshares, telling me that they are changing their policies to ensure that more great books get published. Guess what? Now I only need to make 250 orders. 250!!!
Officially, it's 750 for the complete package deal. Full professional editing, a trip to the Inkshares office where I could personally sign each first edition for you guys, and so on. However, if I get at least to 250 pre-orders, Inkshares will still publish a limited run of the book, including digital and physical distribution on Amazon. And yes, you will all get your physical copies!
Here's the catch. As of October 30th, at 12:00pm Pacific Time, the price of the book goes up to $20. If you already ordered a copy, you DO NOT have to pay more. But from here on, I'll be convincing people to buy a $20 book instead of a $10 one. So here's what I need from you, dear readers.
Have you not clicked that pre-order button yet? NOW IS THE TIME. If you have any friends, family, coworkers, associates, etc that you have not yet bothered to death about this book, NOW IS THE TIME. From now until noon, October 30th, the price is still $10. Now is the time to convince everyone you know to buy a copy and shoot us up to that 250 mark! Also, have you racked up any credits on your Inkshares account? Now is the time to use them for more copies of the book! It'll make a great Christmas gift, I promise! :)
For those who have already ordered and spread the word, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, mind, and everywhere else. Whatever happens, through Inkshares or not, I promise this book will be published. And I can only hope you appreciate what I deliver. Thank you again, and have an awesome weekend!
